Would that be the #10 or the #5 Jammal Lord jersey? He switched his SR year to #5. Maybe Jeff Sims could go from #14 to #7, and harken the Heisman & conference-winning ways of one Eric Crouch in the process. One can hope Sims is a legit dude for NU.

Of all the people I talk to on a day-to-day basis, not one has ever mentioned anything about the Big Ten commissioner. No one gives two squirts. It's kinda funny how this photo looks like they're standing behind a coffin.

One of my friends had the 8 track tape. I've heard it dozens of times. If you check out the artists who played/sang on Basketball Jones, no wonder it was a hit. George Harrison, Billy Preston, Jim "Lightning" Keltner, Klaus Voorman, Carole King, Tom Scott (who played sax on King's song Jazzman, Darlene Love, Ronnie Spector, Michele Phillips and others. It's like, Wow!

I feel that part of the reason she has had a great spring in vb is that she has had a year to mature and get training form th NU staff. She is not the same 17 year old that walked on campus last summer. Don't be surprised if she makes the same type of jump in BB this year.

Portaling has become tiresome. It's been kind of a helpless feeling. Well, until it's helps your team, that is.

They were at Kazu Kabobs when I was in college and then that closed and I lost track of them for about 10 years until I went to a basketball game and saw them where they’re at now. I walked in and they knew exactly what I wanted! Stop there as much as I can when I go to Lincoln!

I would twist this a tiny bit and remove positional needs. I keep hearing that we are position-less, so let's start from there. Are we going to have a 13-man rotation? No. I am going to guess that an 8 - or 9-man rotation is likely. Let's go with a 9-man rotation for the sake of argument. We will then have 1 or 2 possible redshirts. If it is 1, then with a 13 man roster, you will have 3 players who may play a bit...but are more or less bench eye-candy. Also, we have two walk-ons that may vie for playing time...both Hoiberg and Jacobson very well could earn their way into that 9 man rotation. Currently (and further assuming that Keisei is back) I believe our 9 man rotation is: Keisei Lawrence Lloyd Blaise Wilhelm Mast Gary CJ Williams Shoot, what about Rice? What about Sam? What about Jacobson? Hmm. Interesting development. So, do you perhaps bring in three studs, who will push three of the above out of the rotation, or force the rotation to expand? Do you bring in players that are projects and would be willing to sit for one or two years to earn their chance? Do you hold an open spot or two and shop for a mid-year transfer or early enrollees? I will make one additional argument. We have not been over .500 for, what seems like, eons. We have only dipped our toes into the NCAA tournament pond with nary a win. So looking at that nine man roster, should we not blow it up again in order to upgrade our chances for nirvana? Probably not at this point, but it is something to consider.

I don't know. On one hand it looks like we are more talented than we were at this point last season. But the guys we are losing were the main culture guys, so without them it's possible that things go to hell in a handbasket. I do think we are covered (on paper anyway) at the 2-5 with quality players. PG is the big question mark. Well, that and whether Keita can play a full season without getting injured again.
