So, appears there's still some hope this could happen.  Or some other transfer big man.

My ideal scenario is that we use these three available scholarship spots for:

1.  Quality, senior-transfer big man who would be immediately eligible.

2.  Jordy.

3.  Quality, transfer guard with either 3 to play 2 or 4 to play 3.

Need someone to come in and be able to step into the starting 5 spot next year without needing time to develop.  Just right out of the box.  Then, we need a guy who can learn in a back-up role to take over next year.  And then we need a guy who can backfill the vacant roster spot when Tai Webster graduates.  Very thin on numbers in the backcourt 2 years from now.  Hopefully we can address that with recruiting yet this spring and it seems a transfer market for players who would have to sit a year would be the source of talent available to us this spring.

Yep, looks good to me, Normy.

So, for those who missed it, Rosenthal in his chat this afternoon pretty much closed the door on the Mango speculation.

Well, slammed it shut really.

Did he?  Did someone just dream up that Mangok might graduate and then think to start a rumor that would be conveyed to BR as fact? Thus, if he was actually thinking about transferring it would seem like the only reason he changed his mind was that someone asked him while he was still travelling for a basketball game with his team.  Was he supposed to say "oh yeah, totally considering it!"

I don't know if he was ever considering a transfer.  If he was, it would make a lot of sense that he still is regardless of what he might have said publicly.
