Looking forward to this series. If we are going to play teams like Villanova might as well be an old big 8 rival.

While we may get our butts handed to us next year...it's better than playing Deleware St IMO.

Its certainly better for the fans and the road loss could be better for our rpi assuming Kansas rpi is where it always is.

stranger things have happened....we could (snowball chance in hell and all that but still) win the game. Have any Miles teams played Kansas?

 

On the Nebraska Basketball Show aired on Sunday night, Miles confirmed this series. I thought Coach also said he's had teams play at UCLA, KU, and Duke in the past.

Coming into Nebraska...Miles did a good job at CSU at exploiting the RPI.  Now, we all know RPI is not the only deciding factor in making the big dance but below is Miles teams number during his last year at Fort Collins.  It's what I hope our resume looks like next year in terms of RPI/SOS.  Obviously we will play more than 14 conference games but a 9-9 or 10-8 record in the Big Ten with a tough non-con will set us up nicely for a bid.

Yes! There's a chance you come out with a win @ KU... I like that small chance better than coming out with a loss @ Home to a team like Samford.

I've already put in a request to a relative in Kansas for tickets next year.  Seeing a game at Phog Allen would be bucket list material.

It's a great experience. Good fans. I taught for four years at KU, and they're to basketball what Nebraska fans are to college football.

 

But if you see someone in a Pugh, Kellogg or Hunter jersey, smack 'em upside the head.

They decide this somewhere in the late summer I believe. I'm thinking they'll mix it up and slot us with Virginia Tech though another road trip to Florida St in the "lol let's pit Nebraska vs hated Florida football rivals" is certainly in the mix.

They decide this somewhere in the late summer I believe. I'm thinking they'll mix it up and slot us with Virginia Tech though another road trip to Florida St in the "lol let's pit Nebraska vs hated Florida football rivals" is certainly in the mix.

 

 

I'm thinking they may avoid a NU-Va Tech matchup because we are already in a non-con tourny with them.  It could certainly be FSU again or maybe Wake Forest

Good catch...I forgot about the Wooden Legacy.

We might get to play against our old friend Chris Harriman as New Mexico is there as well

In the 5 years of the series we've played Wake Forest twice, Miami twice, and Florida St once.

Sure...a "chance" at a win, LOL.

 

Bill Self has more Big 12 regular season conference championships than he does home losses in his tenure at KU.  They also hold the current longest home court winning streak in NCAA Div I.

 

Nebraska will be going in to that game at about #100 in KenPom.  KU is currently KenPom #1.  But yeah.  We got a chance...

 

My only hope is they don't decide to do to us what they did to Colorado a couple years ago, just because they can.
