Tai only played 5 minutes in the 2nd half. Just didn't have it tonight. A little disappointing for a guy who should be our 3rd or 4th scorer and should play more minutes vs a taller team like this.

Seems like Tai has gone back into his funk with the poor body language (hanging his head, not running back to the bench at a time out, etc.) after he makes a mistake or misses a shot for the past few games.  Need him to regain the confidence he exhibited for several games that made a threat off the bench.  Need him to contribute on the offensive end with Shields out, 'cause White isn't gonna score 35 against the better teams coming up - they'll have the players and schemes to slow him down.

We need to explore ways to get White about 14 or 15 reasonably clean three point attempts a game.  It is easily our best shot we can get, other than an uncontested layup or dunk.  As close we can come to that number, the better off we will be, especially while Shields is out.

Miles said in his postgame radio that Hammond had to work on some personal things after the Miami game.  (My guess is grades).  Miles also said he hasn't played well since he got back.

I really hope he learns how to concentrate on grades and basketball.  He could be that center presence we need if we can't sign Jordy, or Jacobson doesn't grow.

Anyone else who watched the game think it was annoying that ESPN didn't have anyone at the actual game... No sound from crowd, whistles or anything...

It's kind of disrespectful, IMO.  Seems like they did that for another NU game this year as well.  Further evidence of the ESPiN conspiracy against Nebraska! :D

I wonder how hard that would be to announce a game you are not attending.

Hammond was playing great in the Wisconsin game and we built a nice lead.  It pissed me off when he got taken out and immediately Wisconsin surged ahead and took control.  Would have rather Miles let him go until the hot streak started to end, which quite possibly would have been very soon.  Absolutely no reason he should have came though at that time.

I am still not completely sold on the fact that we need a true center to regularly be successful. I think if we can pair up two good PFs (Morrow and Jacobson are going to be quite the tandem in the future) we will be just fine. However, if we want to be an elite team I do agree that we will need a true center. But the first step for us is being a regular tourney team imo.

Also I agree with you on Hammond. He will continue to progress and by the time he is a senior he will be a reliable starter/backup for the program.

If ESPN can't send announcers to the game why broadcast it? Let some local talent give it a go.

So I can watch the game on a real tv?

I guess we did, and not a very enjoyable experience.

But for me, it beats the alternative if not getting to watch them play.

Agree with Dean here.  And while it might be a little disrespectful since not often done, I think the quality of announcing coul go up by having studio broadcasting.  Lets say for example Dean and 49'r do a hell of a job broadcasting games.  Lets say ESPN can spend money flying them and putting them up for one game somewhere.  Lets say as an alternative they can be in Bristol and do a game at noon, another at 3, another at 6 and a late night affair at 9 or 10.  It saves them a lot of money.  It potentially makes Dean and 49'r a lot of money.  It makes the level of broadcasting better.  Everyone wins.  There is not one good reason why games cannot be announced extremely well from off sight IMO.

Next step in broadcasting evolution: Letting someone named Trevor broadcast games from India. He could probably do at least 5 games a day for 50 cents an hour. And for additional flavor they just need to supply him with a continuously looped tape of Dickie V screaming HE NEEDS A T.O. BABY! and DIAPER DANDY!

AWESOME BABY! And I also got to occupy 12 minutes of my retired day by watching a random guy on Utube show me how to touch a squirrel. And so my President's Day begins.

Better stop now on how much fun it is to be retired Jimmy, you are making me want to to do it. :D  Also have somebody get that Utube show to McVeigh A.S.A.P.

Yeah I see that, but then just dont have any announcers and just have the crowd mic.

On whistles, it was definitely difficult for them to verify if a foul had been called or not and, if so, on who, unless they could hear whichever of the 3 stooges was making the call to the scorer's table.
