That "terrible" announcer is Pete Gillen. 20yr head coaching career with multiple NCAA Tourny appearances.

 

i didn't say he was a bad coach. i said he's a terrible announcer.

 

Either way - bad vibes having Gillen announce the game, given that he coached Xavier in what was the first of 7 NCAA losses by NU.

I hear how tough it is to recruit to Nebraska. I guess Omaha isn't in Nebraska?

Creighton isn't getting better recruits than us, but they are disciplined and appear to be better coached.

My thought was related to the Jays having at least three post players outplaying our players.

 

we've been very close to landing some talented bigs, but yea it is becoming a huge problem.

 

i'm not ready to give up on miles, but he needs to get a couple bigs in a hurry.

Miles needs fired if he can't even field a team that can even compete with a team I consider a mid major. He's all talk and no show. This is BS. I know I don't post much and will probably get flamed or banned but I don't care. I'm one of the few that wait for football season to get over for basketball season.

I am not thee yet, actually never am. but could see some starting to think this.

It is. The gameplan looks horrible, especially on defense. The team came out with no intensity and they continue to play that way. That to me falls on coaching. on the player end they are lacking effort especially in transition and are constantly out of position on D. As a coach you can only tell so much

Close doesn't count. Miles is getting paid pretty damn good money. Nobody is calling for his head but my god...he got schooled once again. Next year is going to be a big year for Him.

How a D1 program isn't able to recruit a serviceable Center is beyond me.  A big time failure in this program.

As much as this game sucks... as much I know we are playing terrible...  as much as we all hate the blue birds....

 

I have seen things so far this year that allows me to believe that we can compete in the B1G this year.  There will be games where we get run out of the water, but the middle to end of the pack is in the same boat we are.
