I wonder what the 5 week courses they'll ask McVeigh take will be. He's gonna have a rigorous summer as it is. I've take those 5 weekers before, they were exhausting.

I liked taking summer school.  Instead of 5 or 6 different sets of deadlines to keep in mind and juggle, you basically had just one or two sets of deadlines.  I found it far easier to keep on top of homework, etc., when I only had one or two classes at a time than when I had 5 or 6.

Put that another way:  If you're a procrastinator, it's easier to cram for 2 finals at the end of a 5 week session than to cram for 5 finals and a term paper at the end of a full semester.

Not enough no-doze in the world for me to go through college again.

Must be from all the NyQuil chasers you've been having during hoops season.

I liked some of the longer term summer classes. The 5 week ones always put me on system overload. It helped me that they were some of the last classes I had to take to graduate, so keeping focus wasn't that difficult.

Well, there you have it. Both 3 and 6 credits. Six enrolled and 3 completed to take the trip to Espana. So both Rosey and Barfy were right.

If you notice in the article, Miles said that players who can play this coming season must meet those requirements in order to play in the Spain tournament. What about players who can't play this coming season? Like Gill. Can he play in Spain regardless since he isn't eligible this coming season? Or is he out? And I think this has been touched on on the board there just wasn't a definite answer or I don't remember.

Seems to be the 'Mystery Question' everybody asks; but no one has the definitive answer.

Red Don, I think Gill could play in the overseas trip. I think.

paschal would have to enroll here in 2 weeks to be eligible for the summer tournament. no?

Don't think he'd be eligible to go, anyways. Gill isn't going as a transfer, either.

(Not trying to pick on anybody specifically redface.gif - just no one seems to know for sure)

Here's another 'sticky' related question!  If Gill, and possibly McVeigh if he does not qualify, and Chukwu if he commits to Nebraska, are not eligible to go on the Spanish Tour, will they also be disqualified from participating in the 10 additional practices allowed by the NCAA prior to the European Tour?

There was a story in the LJS (not sure when, perhaps someone else may locate it?) that indicated that Anton Gill would not be able to participate in the 2015 European tour since he won't be eligible to play until 2016, so the same would apply to Chukwu if he comes to Lincoln as a Husker.

McVeigh only needs to take 2 classes in the 2nd Summer session, and then he'd have to pass 1 of 'em.

I wonder when Gill arrives & if he will participate in overseas trip?

He arrived on Thursday and will not be able to go to Spain with the team.

As I said a week ago, Gill cannot go to Spain. Transfers are not eligible for the exhibition games at the start of the season and the games in Spain are exhibition games.

Practice Day 1

24 is Jacob Hammond. Notice the addition of more facial hair (it appears) and also that golf ball in the back of his left arm. I believe that golf ball is a tricep and that he has been adding muscle in the weight room. Nice. Seems to be maturing.

Can anybody give me an identification of #34?
