49r Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 Just noticed this on twitter today: Sounds like the little dude's in for another fight. This post has been promoted to an article Quote
colhusker Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 Good golly this family has dealt with far more than their share. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 Crushing and sad situation. Man, my prayers are extended! The kid is a fighter...and I hope he fights a great fight! Quote
Ron Mexico Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 As a father of a 6, 7, and 9 year old I can only imagine. My prayers go out to the entire family. HuskermavfanChuck 1 Quote

boomer1 Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 Does anyone know where we can buy one of the AveryStrong t-shirts? Quote
hhcmatt Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 Does anyone know where we can buy one of the AveryStrong t-shirts? Coach Harriman tweeted this out a couple of weeks ago. I would assume he will tweet again when they are available. I'll post if someone doesn't beat me to the punch. Quote

bigred4 Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 Anybody know how the payment will work? Check? Credit Card? Quote
meerkat68901 Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 Just ordered a few yesterday. Send an email to [email protected] with #averystrong in the subject line. Tell her how many/what sizes and give her your address. You will then receive an email from PayPal to pay. I know they're yellow, but I think it would be cool if we could get a ton of people to wear these at the first home game to support the Harrimans. Quote
HuskerActuary Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 Are they shipped to your address for free? Quote
49r Posted September 10, 2014 Author Report Posted September 10, 2014 What would be really cool is if Marc Boehm would order 800 of those bad boys and put them out for the student section to wear at the first home game thats on BTN or one of the ESPNs. ShortDust 1 Quote
meerkat68901 Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 Didn't look like there was any shipping cost. $15/shirt, regardless of size (I ordered one XXL ad didn't get charged any more). Total for three shirts was $45. 49r, I think that's a great idea! Quote

trickey Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 The story continues to generate positive national press... Good for Avery, Shavon and Nebrasketball. https://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaab-the-dagger/nebraska-forward-makes-touching-gesture-for-assistant-coach-s-son-170709502.html Quote
a0t0w0 Posted September 17, 2014 Report Posted September 17, 2014 Prayers, vibes, thoughts, wishes sent Avery and his family's way. Will purchase shirt. 49r's idea should be noted. I extend the challenge to the athletic department to give them out to every fan for a home game (not Iowa). 15* 15,000= 225,000. Eat it for a good cause. The people give you enough in donations for you to NOT donate some back to a BETTER cause. Quote
