We ain't got no Tornados here in Vegas! #RunWitUs Top 5 14' class! Expand Very true. They don't have grass either. Or water. No water. That's the only thing that saves them from kudzu. Otherwise, they'd be crawling in it. In fairness, there are some nice things about Vegas. They have a lot of good looking women there. Of course, most of them are hookers, but ... that's OK. You might get lucky and find one that doesn't have the clap. Or that doesn't have a pimp connected to the Russian mafia. Those Russian mobsters, they'd just as soon kill ya as look at ya. But everyone I've ever talked to has come home from there with more money than they went there with, which is why the casinos are drying up and dying like shriveled pumpkins on the vine. Pumpkins that don't get any water. Water. Like what they're running out of in Vegas. 49r and Red Rum 2 Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 His one tweet say Lincoln in the am with a plane, I don't think he is here yet. UNLV fans are getting after him hard. Really trying to make it like we are in the middle of nowhere and have noticing to do. But that is what every body says that. Quote
FredsSlacks Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 It's almost as if the UNLV fans forgot they have no open scholarships. Also, you can't do anything fun in vegas until your 21. Jordan is 18. Silverbacked1 1 Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 no fun till 21, no water, and that dry, dry, dry 120 degree heat. not good on the skin, dries it out and makes one ashy. Quote

Minnesota_Husker Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 If the biggest problem he has with Lincoln is the weather, we can handle that. Lincoln isnt Vegas. I agree. We are not as much fun. The weather isnt warm. The girls might not be as pretty(i disagree and think midwest girls are the best).. but last time i checked, that isnt what his #1 focus should be. Nebraska is a place to get an education and best set himself up for the future. A place to become a better person and basketball player. I wouldnt want distractions like Vegas. Or a roster so stacked with 5-stars that i never got a look. I understand wanting to earn your time, but that chance is greater here at Nebraska. Plus, if i was a parent. I wouldnt want him in Vegas where even a good kid can have issues. I hope he picks what is best for his education and basketball future. If he feels like those are better at UNLV or Wake.. then by all means make the move. I wont hate on a kid for that. But dont pick UNLV because it is fun or the weather is warm... those things wont matter in 5 years after you graduate. Silverbacked1 and bobcat402 2 Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Yeah right now we are not winning him over too much. Took picture of the snow in Denver as his plane was either landing or taking off. Also not too happy about it being 50 here today. Hate to loose a kid because of some freak weather. Oh well. Quote

I seen that pick of crawfish, we got plenty of Nawlins boys on the football team so he wont be lonley. Quote
Swan88 Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Nebraska's weather will seem great by comparison to Jordan's experience in Colorado--you can't see the mountains from Denver's Airport on a snowy day, by the way--and the dry heat of Vegas will seem unbearable to someone from New Orleans accustomed to heavy humidity. And who would want to go to a University (Wake Forest) that closed temporarily during the Civil War because most of its faculty and students left to fight for the Confederacy. Things are looking up for the Huskers . . . we can always hope. Quote

Well, maybe the Lincoln airport will be closed permanently after he gets here and he can't find his way out of the state. Silverbacked1 and hhcmatt 2 Quote

FredsSlacks Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Damn. our airport sucks. He flies across the state of Nebraska to get to Denver only to have his flight delayed from denver to lincoln Miles deserves a raise if he lands cornish. Quote
Cookie Belcher Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Not feeling good about our chances at all anymore. I thought we had a great shot but I was counting on a fantastic visit putting us in the lead. Quote

If bad weather causes him to pass on us, he should have never visited in the first place. Quote
The_Vault Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 My guess is that he signs right before he leaves. The weather in DENVER means nothing Quote

Is the flight delayed because of Denver or Lincoln or neither? Otherwise, the flight landed at 2:58. I'd expect some tweets pretty soon. Quote
uneblinstu Posted May 12, 2014 Author Report Posted May 12, 2014 BTW, mom and pop went on the Wake visit, too and will presumably go to UNLV, as well. Quote
