...just won in Columbus in OT, 71-70. Broke an 18-game losing streak to OSU. I think PSU was down 10 about mid-way through the 2nd half.

And if Craft makes all-Big Ten this season, it's a joke. He's looking pretty ordinary all of a sudden. Gave up the last two FGs of this game, then fumbled the ball away going for the last shot.

We win tomorrow, we're tied with OSU in the league standings.

That's a good point. We could also be tied for 7th in the conference with a win tomorrow.

This season is far from over.

They just said on the BTN halftime show that OSU had won 80 games in a row at home vs unranked teams. Unreal.

So is OSU in any danger of missing the NCAAs? I can't imagine they are after the great non-con they had, but at this point they could go 7-11 in the league. Did the old Big East get some 7-11 teams in the NCAAs? I can't imagine a Big Ten team has ever made the NCAAs at 4 games under .500 in league play, although I know the NCAA committee says it doesn't consider league standings when handing out bids.

In their final 10 games, they have to play:

at Wisc, at Iowa, at Indiana, at Illinois, at Penn St, plus they still have to play Mich and Mich St at home. Minnesota also has to come to Columbus, but UM already beat OSU by 10 this season.

The way they're going, they could lose 6 of those 8. Amazing how quickly it can get away from a team. Hard to believe they were 15-0 three weeks ago.

Oh and Wiscy leads N'western by just 1 at halftime in Madison, 23-22. The first time these two played in Evanston 4 weeks ago, Wiscy led 40-14 at halftime.

If the BIG is going to start making Wednesday the night where road teams pull big upsets, I'm all for that considering next week's schedule.  :P

Playing these guys is like getting your wisdom teeth pulled when they throw everything in at the end of the shot clock.

Exactly - they can't miss in the 2nd half.

Also they just mentioned Petteway will be interviewed on the Big Ten Finale after the game on BTN.

I think we'll want to press NW ;)  - 3 turnovers in a row for NW as UW tries to press for the first time, but Wiscy is still down 10, 54-44, 2:41 to play.

NW hasn't won in Madison since 1996

And make it 4 turnovers in a row.

Count me as very impressed with what Collins has done at Northwestern this year.  I picked them to finish last.  They look pretty tough right now.

It is amazing some of the games they have won.  They are still easily the worst team IMO.  Certainly nobody I would rather play if we had to get a win in the league.

Problem is, the more PSU or NW win the less strength the conference has. If even the cellar dwellers are winning then a 8-10 or 9-9 conference record won't hold as much weight at the end of the season.

That's not something NU can control. Not worth worrying about. Just take care of what's in front of them, which at the moment is Indiana.

For the love of all that is holy.  Can we please just worry about Indiana and then try to get our FIRST (and maybe only) road win.

Not sure what following the other league action has to do with anyone not being concerned about the Indiana game tomorrow.

Everyone knows the B1G is the top basketball conference. Much like the Big East in the past there will probably be years with 8 teams making the dance. Top to bottom this is the toughest league in college hoops today and that holds water in the war room come march.

It's almost got SEC football level respect right now.
