I feel like the better we do through the end of this year -- the more upward our trajectory -- the better our chances are with this kid.  I think he wants a "name" school and "name" conference.  But he also wants an opening at his position, something that would allow him to step into a situation and be the starter or at least have a chance to be the starter from the opening bell of the season.

Winning some of these games we weren't expected to win (so long as we win the ones we ARE expected to win) gives us cred.

If I'm Miles, I'm presenting Nebraska as a much better fit than Iowa due to the fact that they honestly already have their PG for the next two years in Mike Gesell. Nebraska currently doesn't. Tai may develop into that guy eventually, but it's more potential than reality at this point.

Dickerson is a missing piece of the puzzle for Nebraska, while, for the Hawkeyes, he's more of a luxury. I hope we can make him see that clearly, and we don't have to BS him to do it. It's just the reality of the situation. Nebraska needs him. Iowa wants him. Big difference.

I just hope he doesn't get infatuated with some of the recent interest by teams like UCLA and others who will jump on the bandwagon late. Nebraska truly is a great fit for him, and aside from Biggs, the guys who've transferred here under Miles have all blossomed with a change of scenery and really thrived in Lincoln.

I saw Nate Clouse retweeted a tweet from Trey Dickerson saying Miles sent him the funniest text of 2014.  Its nice to know the relationship between the two seems to go beyond basketball, at least thats my take from a funny text, and that can only help NU's chances.  I know whenever I made my choices for the colleges I attended for baseball that the final decision came on my relationships with the coaches way over the schools themselves.

i think this will be one of the most interesting off seasons in quite awhile, if nebraska finish strong a lot of these prospects were in on, will actually give us a strong consideration (i.e. Bryant Crawford), but what do we do with Tai, we know the dude has a 3 point shot, and call ball, he did on the world stage, as a 18 year old, so how does one build confindence in the offseaon, when clearly that is a thing usally gained in season, is Trey a 2 guard morso than point, cuz that could work out, and keep utilizing Terran at the 3, and Shields at the 4 with a rotation of Pitchford, Smith, and Hammond fighting for center mintues, and a really deep bench for the first time in years...or does he fill the role Biggs was meant to fill the ultra sparkplug of the bench...lots of good questions right now.

Ya keep working with him and as he gets more comfortable here, you hope his game will begin to emerge. You hope he stays here over the summer and work on his game with his teammates. I believe that Miles is planning on doing one of those summer trips with the guys, which could be huge for them and Tai might have the most to gain in that regard.

I think Tai is more combo guard who can certainly play point and shooting guard, both.  From the looks of things Trey Dickerson can too.  I think they can play in the same backcourt.  It's not like we're going to have a stockpile of talent at either position next year.

Historically, Coach likes playing with 2 guards that can both play the point

i can really envision the backcourt being a blend of petteway, tai, and dickerson (if he comes here) id like that, and throw in benny when we need a change of pace with Trey, for that ultra quick attack could be some nice matchups next year. Tai should be bigger next year which will help his game in the paint, id like to see Tai come ready to ball next season at around 215...ala.. Jeter

He plans on committing after his season.

Hopefully it will be over right before the Wisconsin game which would be an awesome environment for him to visit.

If we don't make the NCAA tournament, we could also possibly host him for a NIT game.

If a kid is visiting places, you want your place to be last.  We might have lined that up.

I don't have much hope in TD being a husker

That's funny because I have more hope now than I did before.

I'm not sure what day you can sign a LOI but right now Miles is lining up this kid to come to the best home game we have left and what should be an awesome atmosphere.  Assuming that doesn't happen he'll probably still come and it will be when he's ready to make a decision.
