ajb5856 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 LOL. What's the point in waiting to announce a school and then make public statements that clearly lean one way. I've never understood making people wait. I guess I'm impatient. I'm not discounting the fact that he has made some pro-Ohio State comments/follows on twitter. It seems like he is choosing OSU. But maybe that is his plan until he shocks everyone on Tuesday. If he was trying to hide who he picked until Tuesday, he's not doing a very good job of it, and maybe that's what he's going for and his way of keeping the secret until Tuesday. That's an equally plausible explanation other than just assuming he's picked OSU because of his tweets. He also made the 'nobody knows where I'm going but me' tweet. There was also this tweet: @ElbertRobinson8: Keep sleeping on ER3 I like it!!!!! If he has chosen Nebraska, maybe this is referencing the fact that the majority of the tweets out there say he is choosing between LSU and Ohio State. But who really knows? We can speculate about what each tweet means, and yes, it seems like Ohio State is the choice but we won't know for sure until Tuesday. If OSU fans were over-analyzing everything like we are, they could look at the Harriman tweet, connect the dots, and say 'well, crap he's gone, obviously he chose Nebraska'.I'm preparing myself for Tuesdays news. But we just won't know for sure until then and to think that twitter is going to provide a truthful answer is just not very smart. Quote
hhcmatt Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Does this help anything? As long as we weren't down in Texas trying to tie up Zach. Quote
fred1212 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Now a tweet about Nebraska putting in work... He's gotta be playing with people's mind, or just is pleasing everybody. how many exclamation points did he use? hhcmatt 1 Quote

He's gotta be playing with people's mind, or just is pleasing everybody. how many exclamation points did he use? I think he just threw that tweet out knowing he has over 500 Nebraska twitter followers. Not a positive sign. I wish I could say I like our chances, but they seem slim at this point. Quote

Honestly, with all of the bad mojo, I still feel like we have a shot. I think the coach(es) flew down to Dallas for a reason. I think that the way ER talks, he knows it's about more than playing for a big time program. You make a good point about what outside perspective would be. Funny thing is, they don't seem to care as much as we do. Sad. Quote
Navin R. Johnson Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 The thing about Coach Herriman going to Texas that seems odd to me is I would have thought they would send Coach Hunter if the visit was for Robinson. Or did they both go? Quote
FredsSlacks Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Besides Elbert, It appears that Deng Deng is the only other player who we've offered that is still available. Quote

The Coach Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Robinson tweeted with an A&M commit today. He'll probably shock the world and pick the Aggies. Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Nah He'll go to Georgetown without a trip of any kind, a0t0w0 1 Quote

Swan88 Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Listen, I said a long time ago when he didn't commit to us right away that we should just move on (as a fan base) and figure it wasn't going to happen. Odds too long taking all these additional visits. If it happens, I'll be happy and certainly take it. But I've figured so long now that it wasn't going to happen that if he doesn't pick us, I'll roll with it. Either way. Our program doesn't die if Elbert Robinson chooses someone else. Just like it didn't die when we didn't get Akoy Agau. Pavelka tweeted yesterday that Agau is buried on the depth chart at Louisville. With Pitino's history of "cutting" players, maybe he'll come back home. I'm hoping Harriman can work his magic and find a good prospect out there somewhere. It's a long time until the Spring Signing Period. I kinda doubt that Kent has any idea what is going on at Louisville. He has a hard enough time getting the names right for guys that are actually on Nebraska's roster. Couldn't help chuckling at the combination of the foregoing and this string of posts on the Louisville "Scout" board. The posting string ends with, "What about Akoy?" Louisville scrimmaged yesterday. Here are a smattering of fan comments about Akoy Agau from the Louisville Scout board following that scrimmage: "Akoy Agau - Pitiful. But he is a big body and i'm sure is a decent practice player. He will never see the court except in blow outs. he just doesn't fit the system.... Nice jump shot, but the level of comptetition is way too high for his comfort level. If he maintains a nice attitude and stays on the team, he may contribute his senior year.... I think." "Akoy showed me very little on both ends of the floor today." "Akoy Agau seemed like a guy that will be good down the road. He wasn't really good with the ball, I can tell he has butterfingers. I'm going to all three scrimmages so Im looking forward to see more of him before I say he is behind the other freshmen. OK, I'm being modest, yes Akoy is behind the other freshmen but I'm looking forward to seeing him in the other scrimmages." "I expect Agau will be assuming Price's minutes for his freshman year." Quote
hskr4life Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 1. I think that the whole Zach Smith announcement is very.... interesting. Tuesday may be one of the most anticipated Husker Hoops Recruiting days in a long time. 2. Wow that is sad to hear about Akoy. He was so highly touted, but as we said all along he is just going to be another fish in a BIG pond. It will be interesting to see what he does from here on out, and if he even stays at Louisville the whole time. Quote

FredsSlacks Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Elbert is giving a lot of obvious hints that would indicate OSU is who he is picking. He is either trying to pull a fast one on buckeye fans or just isn't very good at hiding his decision. Quote
ShortDust Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Wonder what time he'll announce on Tuesday. Quote

He is either trying to pull a fast one on buckeye fans or just isn't very good at hiding his decision. Yeah, if he is picking OSU he should just go ahead and announce. What is so special about Tuesday anyway? I wonder why it's so stressful for him if he's going with OSU, and he keeps dropping all these hints, and everyone knows he's going there? Maybe he's not picking Buckeyes and he is hiding it by retweeting things like this:@skinner_224: WORD ON THE STREETS ER3 GOING TO OHIO ST. Quote
ShortDust Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 I really do think that Harriman was in Dallas to visit with Elbert. Garland is roughly a 20 mile trip from Dallas airport. Even if he was there to visit, it doesn't mean that the visit was because he decided to choose us. I would think that he was visiting to try and sway a decision one way or another. Tuesday needs to come. Quote
