Looks like Val's big slab of cardboard pizza is the only major food holdover from the Bob. Gotta say I'm looking forward to the new grub...but I'm going to miss the Runza. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 I won't miss the Runza...I really won't miss the smell of spoiled cabbage. Of course I am in the minority, but the taste and smell of the Runza rank as horrible. But...they make a pretty darn good burger! Creighton Fan 1 Quote
nebrasketball10 Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 It doesn't really say there won't be runzas... I bet they're still there in one of the stands. Quote
colhusker Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Count me as a Runza fan but I must say MrsCH makes a much better one than the original. Quote

atskooc Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Not a huge fan of the ovenstuff'd sandwiches, but the burgers and fries are fantastic! Quote

The first half of that sentence makes your avatar selection kind of puzzling. Really? The fact that I dig the heck out of their burgers and fries (the chili is pretty tasty, and I used to live on their chicken sandwiches) and they have a tie-in (or at least used to have one) with the basketball team I cheer for based on that team's success (that was poorly worded, I know) means it's puzzling for me to have the Runza logo as an avatar? If I loved Valentino's lasagna but couldn't stand their pizza would that make it puzzling for me to wear a Valentino's shirt? Hmm... Maybe if I had a pic of one of the ovenstuff'd sandwiches I could see your point. Quote

Its more that the name of the restaurant just so happens to be synonymous with the name of their famous sandwich and most people would assume if youre talking about Runza that you like the Runza. Most people dont go around touting a steakhouse for their salad which may be their #2 item on the menu when their steak is what they were made famous for and I think thats why hes saying that. Quote

AuroranHusker Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 Runza burgers are great, same goes for their fries. That is all. atskooc 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 I love Runzas. Disappoints me to hear they won't be offered for sale at the new PBA. But, then, I rarely ate at games at Devaney anyway. But, when I did, it was usually a Runza. HB 1 Quote

Norm Peterson Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 OK, I didn't even think about that. LOL Quote
Noah121 Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 I concede that you set yourself up for that one--ha! I also almost never conceded--ate at one of the dining halls pre-game or had something planned for post-game. Quote
