Where did you hear this??  So much for a visit!

its on every recruiting site so I'd say there.

He posted it on his twitter account as well that he is headed to Uconn.  I was really hoping to get this kid here for a visit as he would have been a great pickup.  Oh well, on to the next one.....

Oh, alas!! Woe is us! I mean after all, signing a guy like Webster is a huge sign of defeat. And almost getting Agau is ... well ... as good as a mile. And we didn't even get Robinson signed after that visit here. And others haven't signed up that visited unofficially. And some haven't even made the trip! And only having one guy signed up for 2015 already--an absolute defeat. And only one Rivals 150 signee for 2014. Yeah, now that you mention it, let's fire that ne'er-do-well Tim Miles. Forget that we showed well against UMass. Forget that newbies like Webster and Smith and Petteway are progressing well. Yeah. This is bad!!! And disappointing too!!! And really . . . disgusting and . . . .

Seriously?

Nobody's saying fire Tim Miles.  Seriously?  I'm just saying you cannot call him a PROVEN recruiter right now.  He's had success everywhere else he's been recruiting the talent he needs, but this is a new level for him.  To say he's lighting the recruiting world up would be completely false.  Heck, look at Northwestern's recruiting class.  Almost getting people doesn't count for anything until you actually get one.  Is Agau starting here this year?  I guess not.

Hammond is a good start, but forgive me for not rushing to any conclusions because of it.  I trust Miles knows what he's doing, and it's easy to see his plan begin to take shape; however, the world of sports is precarious and fickle.

Would have to think Pitchford, Petteway, Webster, Biggs,Hawkins, Hammond, possibly Smith and Fuller,  show a proven recruiter under the circumstances.  Considerably better than what we had been sigining, with little time on the job, after years of futility.  Better facilities to recruit with but other than that an extremely difficult place in which to recruit.   Under the circumstances, it would be hard to envision doing much better.  I suppose beating Louisville head to head on Agau.  I like what I've seen so far with Miles' recruiting.  He's pushing some boulders uphill.  Hopefully as things improve here, so will the recruiting.  Agree that longterm the jury is still out, but lots to be encouraged about.

I think Miles is doing a good job, my sentiments come from a place of frustration from both the men's football, baseball, and basketball program, im tired of saying onto the next recruit..I WANT THE GUY! and miles is getting us there im just frustrated purely from fan and wanting these recruits.

Baseball had a top of the line recruiting class this year, bobcat. Smile  :)

can the hold to them thought. One of the many things i hate/love about collegiate baseball.. are any of them estimated to go in the top 10 rounds of the draft? its always a crapshoot however.

I don't know precisely how it works, but it seems like there's always that one kid debating whether to enroll in college or take the baseball money right up until about the first day of classes his freshman year.  But I don't think there's any question that the kid from Norris comes to play for Erstad.  And, if I'm not mistaken, he's our top rated recruit.

The Huskers have two top 50 recruits in this baseball class.  One is a football commit that will likely never see campus...the other(Reetz) I'd say we have a 50/50 shot.  Tough to turn down that type of money but I'm hoping teams are afraid to draft him due to his love for NU.

New rules prohibit guys from stringing out the process.  This past year the draft signing deadline was July 11 whereas before it could be until they set foot in class in August.  Pro teams and schools hated the waiting game and finally got their stuff together and put a date a month after the draft for both sides to move on.

I'm really glad they made that change because I hated waiting to see if the kids would sign or not.
