Would also alleviate getting out south if they allowed people in 100's to get to floor. Making everyone go up congests concourse and getting to escalators is huge bottleneck.

Maybe AFTER the game but it looks like crap on TV seeing all the people rushing to get out of PBA before the game is over. That's one of the reasons they did that.

I should've included "after game is over" in my original post, my bad. I'm also guessing part of it has to do with the possibility of a confrontation between fans and players. Especially on north corners where both teams go to locker rooms. I'd gladly wait while teams leave floor to leave after the game is over. The line going up and then the bottle neck at escalators/steps on south end is poor planning and execution.

I have been a big Berke fan since the beginning of the year.  As sporadic he is on offense and defense, he is a Giant piece to this team.  Just check the rebounding stats while he's been gone.  It is not all about his rebounding, he is really good at boxing out allowing others (Gary in particular) to get boards.  We win against Maryland even though they looked better than us that day.  Penn State played their best game of the year against us, so not sure we win that one.

Juwan and Brice were much better defensive rebounders last year with a space clearer (Mast) on the court. Berke is the closest thing to Mast on this roster in that department.

Any updates on original subject matter?

I believe one of the podcasts tweeted (Scarlet Shootaround maybe?) that he should be available tonight, possibly on a limited minutes situation, from everything they were hearing. Things could always change, but they seem to have some decent sources this year.

Last I heard was that he only participated in one live drill on Saturday and he would then be evaluated Sunday.  After Saturday's drill, he did have some expected swelling.

If I got all those tidbits straight, I will be surprised if he plays tonight.

Hopeful that he can give us 15 minutes of solid play.  Would do wonders for our big man rotation against their big guys.

Those guys do a great job. Very informative podcast and worth a listen if anyone hasn't tuned in.

They def do a lot of research on future opponents for every game. I appreciate the time they put in. Glad someone picked up the void that the nebrasketball podcast left (albeit a completely different kind of pod).

Some interesting numbers..

Berke has the third highest defensive rebounding percentage of any Husker since 2009. Has a good chance to pass Roby for second highest. Rienk Mast is in the 4th spot. Would be very interesting to have them both in the starting lineup next year.

Since 2010, Berke has the 5th best defensive box plus/minus of any Husker. Sam Hoiberg is first. Roby, Jeter and Benny Parker are the others in the top 5.

Looking around at other Husker single season records, Essegian is 4 threes away from top 10 single season made threes and has a chance to get into the top 5. If he's back next year I might go out on a limb and predict he breaks Cary Cochran's single season record.
