Wow...where was this game been hiding.? Jazz was at her best, in all phases of her game.  And the team as a whole, shot so well. Without seeing stats it has to be 50% plus'

The 1-1-2-1 zone defence was the perfect answer to the Illinois floor game.  (Not sure if the 1 up front was man on)

A real team win. Nice job !    This can change the post play picture if we can keep it up.

Lookin good !!!

DANG!    and, ummm, this team beat Iowa!  What I hope to see now is one or two wins in the BIG tourney and then march thru the NIT the way they played tonight.  Would be great fun for the seniors and something good to look back on when practice starts next summer.  Heck, if they had a ton a fun in a post season tourney maybe Izzy and/or Jay would think, "dang, that was fun - maybe I am not thru with this team"

Don't have B1G+ so went to a sports bar to watch the game.  Wow, was not expecting that!!  Has to be the most complete game they've played this season, at least that I've seen.  D was really solid, even stingy at times; offense was executing at peak performance.  We got more inside baskets tonight with drives for layups and sharp passing to our bigs for buckets.  Looks like they were out with a vengeance to get a W.  Well played ladies- really proud of you!!  Tip of the cap.  GBR!!

After that Illini 20-zip run in Lincoln about 2 weeks ago, it felt as though this Husker team was snake bitten, when pressed for making its own success. Well, looks like the key for winning is for them to play great, basically as long as they shoot well and don't turn it over, NU will be A-OK. Wow.

The first quarter we played man to man defense as usual.  And as usual, the other teams guards were quick enough to drive to the basket and get easy buckets.  All season this has bugged me.  The second quarter we played a zone defense and pretty much stopped their guards from getting easy buckets. Made them take harder shots away from  the basket.  I was glad  coach Williams continued to play the zone the rest of the game.  I wish in future games they would start out using the zone defense until it isn't effective because we just don't play good man to man most of the time.  I was happy to see Markowski starting to have some good post moves towards the basket instead of fall away shots. Bourne has some really good post moves.  Now if we could only get Steward and Mendelson to learn them.

Stewart does have a nice mid range shot. She makes most of them. We just don’t play to her strengths. Also think Coley could have a nice mid range shot.

ALWAYS have liked Stewart's shot......gets squared up and nice release. one of her deficiencies probably is her passing.

Just an all around great game. the five starters end up with double figures. some great drives by Krull. Jaz? man, hope she comes back, but, just a gut feeling......less than 50/50 chance.

I mean-- we were still in Next Four Out territory with Charlie Creme's bracketology.

Beat NW to go 16-13... go 2-1 in conference tourney and at 18-14... with a NET in the 40's... I think we'd have a shot at dancing.  It's not totally out of the picture just yet.

Unfortunately, we're pretty much locked into the 8 seed.  So a date with Indiana is inevitable if we win our first game.  I don't know that 17-14 get's it done.

yep.........not completely out of the question. i thought that first game with illinois was a huge hit for their chances.....then, the loss to minn? figured that most likely shut the door.

Yeah.... win any either one of those and a win in the conference tourney all but locks it up.

Jumped from 50 to 43 in the NET last night.  That's a huge jump at this time of year.  We also leaped Illinois last night as well.

Pass into Alexis, when a double team isn't waiting to happen, good things happen.  We forced one early pass into her, and she was tied up immediately. Then we picked up the pace, started making shots, didn't rely on the 3 as much, and the lane opened up. What a fun game to watch.  Like many have stated, I too wish we took more mid-range shots. I think we have the shooters.
