If the B1G is going to expand to 16 to try to keep up with the SEC, this is move that makes the most sense.    Not sure the B1G needs to expand, but there's no question that the Maryland-UCL

I'm sure Florida State wants out of the ACC. All about the money. I don't see them in the B1G, but absolutely SEC. If they do leave for the SEC, maybe Notre Dame in the B1G? Who knows about those assholes? Maybe some kid with Fighting Irish crap in his basement does...

I just looked at Colorado's men's sports programs.  They have 6. Actually 5 that will compete with the rest of the conference.  Skiing isn't big in the southern midwest. I so don't miss that conference. I am impressed they have survived.  When Texas and OU bolted, I thought they were finished.

Think this is early speculation. But this isn't the first time FSU has alluded to something like this. I think the last rumor I heard involved Florida teams, FSU to the SEC and Miami to Big Ten. But take that with even less credence as the Washington/Oregon speculation.

Very good point.  The time zone thing is manageable with just USC and UCLA.  You would have only a few late games. 

 

If that is a concern with the BIG, although I poo pooed the idea at first, Clemson and Florida State might be in the mix.  That would also open the door for Notre Dame and dare I say @jimmykc alma mater?  I think that makes a great 20 team super conference.

it'll be interesting to see what the wash. legislature does with a potential split like this. they lean very protective re: the Cougars, and this might not sit well with the rural rep. majority.
