This is going to suck

 

They're running arguably the best defense in the conference and are in the company of Virginia and Texas Tech

Purdue (9) and Illinois (7) are the only teams to make more than six 3s on Michigan this year (Michigan won both those)

This season they've held Providence, Villanova, Indiana, and Ohio St under 50

 

Their offense isn't elite, but very good.  Seems likely they will try to beat us inside as we will attempt to take away their 3s.

Ideally you want Zavier Simpson and/or Charles Matthews taking the majority of shots.

 

Michigan doesn't foul much and plays at a slow pace; they play with about 6 guys

Oh, and not to be overlooked is that Michigan is coming off a loss against Michigan St. yesterday so I suspect they will be locked in on Thursday.  No, this will likely not be fun!

 

I would suggest keeping the women and children away from the TV on Thursday night.  Kidding, well, sort of.

I'm not sure what we pack for away games but it hasn't been defense.

Woof, that PSU game was horrendous. And I usually give the guys the benefit of the doubt on these matters. That was one of the worst defensive "efforts" I have witnessed. And, granted, PSU has won 4 of 6 now. But, sheesh, the NU D on the road is stuck in mud or somethin'

Well I’m 0-1 when I attend Nebraska-Michigan games at Crisler Arena, with the one loss being the 30 pt beat down the year we made to the tourney. I’m fully expecting to be 0-2. Now at MSU is a different story. I’m 2-0 and I’ll be there next week. It’s a lock, we are gonna win that game

If only it was 38-9.  It was actually 43-8, and permanently burned into my memory.

 

The bad thing was that the 43-8 score was not indicative of how much of a mismatch it was, it was actually not nearly that close.  It was a miracle if we got the ball within 30' of the rim at the start of that game.  And we were not a terrible team that year.  But then again, outside of that 31-2 run they had, we outscored them 54-45....

I see by the prediction thread that a select few are predicting a win for our Cornhuskers.  God bless them.

 

But honestly, I don't see how we can possibly score enough points to win.  I really don't see us getting to 50 pts.  I put that we'd get right at 50, but I've watched this Michigan team.  They are salty on the defensive end.  Salty.  And the way our offense has been going, it's going to be incredibly tough to score.  We've struggled to get to 20 points by halftime lately.  And against this team?  It ain't going to be pretty.

Honestly, the prediction thread is my "game."  What I mean by that is I am trying to finish as high as I can.  Not looking at who picked the huskers to win, it could be that someone way at the bottom is just trying to make a late season jump.  If you put a gun to the head on everyone on board and said "pick," you would probably end up with 0 Nebrasketballers.
