Picks San Diego State over A&M and that other school.

Creighton not having much luck in the transfer market... BUMMER  They have a lot to replace if Kyri Thomas doesn't come back.  I believe they have a good class coming in but I know they offered a lot of transfers and no one has committed yet, but maybe they will get Mooney.

South Dakota graduate transfer Matt Mooney has committed to Texas Tech, sources told ESPN.  Tough day for Creighton. Thomas goes pro and they lose out on Mooney.

Likely playing him anyways

KJ Scott (Omaha Benson/Omaha Central) is transferring from Texas Southern. Immediately eligible.

Had 19 against North Carolina in the tourney a couple years ago.

Maybe UNO?

Transfer market winners and losers from theathletic.com.

These paragraphs are under the heading "Losers" (but we could have told them that):

9. Creighton: Greg McDermott has some nice pieces set to take on larger roles this season, particularly on the perimeter with freshmen Mitch Ballock and Ty-Shon Alexander. But depth has been an issue in recent years for the Bluejays, who have had significant season-ending injuries the last two years to starters Maurice Watson and Martin Krampelj. McDermott could have used some insurance and depth on this roster, and he went after immediate help on the grad transfer market but missed on Joe Cremo (committed to Villanova), Zach Johnson (Miami), Nat Dixon (SMU) and Matt Mooney (Texas Tech).

With the loss of Khyri Thomas to the NBA, there was opportunity to step right in as a starter.
Creighton missed as well on younger transfer guards Malachi Flynn (committed to San Diego State), Koby McEwen (Marquette) and Mark Smith (Missouri). The Jays also lost one of their own in Ronnie Harrell, who graduated and transferred to Denver. Harrell would have helped provide depth to the frontcourt and would have filled a leadership role for what will be one of McDermott’s youngest teams.
