Handy Johnson Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 Evidently this is a thing. Just wondering, does being the #1 seed in the NIT do anything for you? Personally, I'll rank it right up there with kissing your sister, riding a Moped, or a 3.2 hangover. colhusker and Nebrasketball1979 1 1 Quote
basketballjones Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 The NIT does absolutely nothing for me... and I'd be thoroughly disappointed if NU doesn't make it to the tourney this year with our talent. Quote

B-town hoopsfan Posted February 13, 2018 Report Posted February 13, 2018 While I’d be disappointed I wouldn’t call it a failed season. another question would you rather go 1 n done in the NCAA tournament or win 3 or 4 in the NIT? Quote

One and Done any day of the week and twice on Sunday's. While winning the NIT would be nice... winning a tournament of "failed to qualifies" doesn't do a whole lot for me personally. It's like winning a bowl game. While it's nice, the Gator Bowl or Outback Bowl or whatever isn't like winning a playoff game or national championship. The only thing it does for me is give me a few extra opportunities to watch the Huskers play. Huskerone, GBR1197 and hhcmatt 1 2 Quote

That's not even a question. Of course you want to make the tournament even if it is one and done. Bugeaters1 1 Quote
HuskerFever Posted February 14, 2018 Report Posted February 14, 2018 So given Lunardi's comments, I'm assuming we'll just have to get comfortable being the #1 seed in the NIT until we win the Big Ten tournament. And even then, I don't know if Lunardi puts us in the tournament. PimpMario and TomEadesSucks 1 1 Quote
