#1 Seed in the NIT

Evidently this is a thing. Just wondering, does being the #1 seed in the NIT do anything for you? Personally, I'll rank it right up there with kissing your sister, riding a Moped, or a 3.2 hangover.

The NIT does absolutely nothing for me... and I'd be thoroughly disappointed if NU doesn't make it to the tourney this year with our talent.

While I’d be disappointed I wouldn’t call it a failed season.

One and Done any day of the week and twice on Sunday's.

 

While winning the NIT would be nice... winning a tournament of "failed to qualifies" doesn't do a whole lot for me personally.

 

It's like winning a bowl game.  While it's nice, the Gator Bowl or Outback Bowl or whatever isn't like winning a playoff game or national championship.  The only thing it does for me is give me a few extra opportunities to watch the Huskers play.

That's not even a question.  Of course you want to make the tournament even if it is one and done.

So given Lunardi's comments, I'm assuming we'll just have to get comfortable being the #1 seed in the NIT until we win the Big Ten tournament.

 

And even then, I don't know if Lunardi puts us in the tournament.

I don't know... at this rate St. Bonaventure and Maryland will get a higher seed than us even if we win the Big Ten tournament.
