Interesting starting lineup...

I've predicted (with the current roster)

-Glynn Watson

-Anton Gill

-Andrew White

-Jack McVeigh or Ed Morrow, I just can't decide

-Michael Jacobson

I hope Roby is that good where he starts right off the bat. But I just think McVeigh and especially Morrow will be to tough for him to beat out for a starting job. I think he is AW3's backup and understudy this year.

Tai is going into next season as the team leader.  I guess I look at him as being the Benny Parker of next season.  I am sure as the team leader, he will agree to do what is best for the team.  But Tai was one of our best players down the stretch.  I believe he lead the guards with minutes played.  I am really struggling with the thought that a senior leader is best situated to start each game from the bench.  He continues to be one of the most underappreciated players in recent history.

In my very humble opinion, Mr. Webster will be a starter. So instead of arguing starter versus non starter, I will instead look at minutes played:

PG and SG = 80 minutes

(Tai 30 minutes -- Glynn 25 minutes -- Gill 25 minutes)

Wing/SF = 40 minutes

(AWIII 26 minutes -- Roby 10 minutes -- Jack 4 minutes)

PF = 40 minutes

(Ed 20 minutes -- Jack 16 minutes -- Horne 4 minutes)

C = 40 minutes

(MJ 24 minutes -- New guy 16 minutes)

Sure this is just a guess and by golly.  Much depends on redshirt decisions, who we get with our open Schollies and so forth.  Who the heck really knows.

If his jumper gets a bit more consistent, and he takes those open 3's he gets, look for Tai to have a huge season, possibly getting some all conference type of recognition . If we see a similar jump like we did, from 2014/15 to 2015/16, he could have a tremendous senior year!

Very true, my point of that post was that not all players can be effective off the bench or accept the fact that they aren't starting. We know Tai can do both. Not so sure about Gill bc I don't know much about him, so I'm just goin with what I know.

Also I don't agree with the article's starting 5. I don't see how Tai starts at point over Glynn. Tai averages more turnovers per game than assists. That's not what you want from your starting PG, especially when you have Glynn who has over a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio.

Didn't see that one coming. I was hoping at worst we would catch up some in the paint to our conference brethren by most of the young stud going to the NBA. Sure they would recruit more but there is no guarantee the new guy would pan out.

Well, being that we played Indiana twice this year...we only get them once next year...right? He will be a beast for them thats for sure.
