  1. This was sent to me today from a work colleague. Pretty funny.

  2. And Petrie might give us depth at the '4' . She might even be a bit ahead of Potts, physically. Glad we have both.

  3. More too early for predictions...BUT my genie in the bottle says.... That's probably close as I see the starters too. But not sure about Weidner. If she's not ready to play now, then hard to say she will be fully ready by Oct games. (Doc's probably know) Just hope she recovers fully at what ever point, and is game ready with no issues. If that's this fall... then great obviously. Will have to see it in person I guess. If she can't go early then expect Moriarty or Krull to start. Lot's of options at guard though. We'll be in pretty good shape with the 3 shots....#2 Nissey will add to the production. We actually could be better at guards driving to the basket. (White and Moriarty...as well as the last years guards) We should be OK inside and at the 4. Markowski, Stewart (seems to kind of hit her stride), Potts, Mendelson (expect more skills this season as she adapts to the college game), and even White scrambles well to get some rebounds. Potts may help offset for the loss of Issie. Hardly a scientific BBall analysis ...just food for thought at this point. (hope nobody else gets hurt : ( Like this team...so many possibilities at full court play, fast breaks, ...deeper and more versatile.

  4. Late to the party, but I really, really like the Boogie Coleman pick up this August. Incredible job by the coaching staff to fill a significant need after an unfortunate situation had unfolded while OVERSEAS! Wow. Now, it's time to coach 'em up! GBR

  5. There's just no decent TV money for the leftovers anywhere. I can't imagine the ACC will take them either, unless ESPN forces them to. When the big boys in the ACC are already unhappy with the revenue, splitting the pie more ways seems like a bad idea. My guess is Stanford and Cal are floating the ACC idea in hopes that the Big 12 or Big 10 will try to grab them first. They may be overplaying their hand here. However, I could see the Big 10 considering it, if they'd come in at an even more reduced share than Wash & Ore did. Maybe the Big 10 would hope that adding USC & Stanford would entice Notre Dame to jump to keep those rivalries going. Getting to 6 west coast schools would make it far easier to do the non-revenue sports in pods. Football and men's hoops won't do pods, but everyone else could - 6 in the west pod, 6-8 in the central pod, 6-8 in the east pod. Absent a Big 10 offer, at this point Cal and Stanford might as well go independent for football and see if they can join the WCC for everything else. WSU & OSU are better fits for the MWC, but there's no TV money there, either. All 4 of their athletic dept budgets are in huge trouble. This is exactly why NU had to jump at the Big 10 when they did. Even though the Big 12 survived, it could've just as easily gone the other way.

  7. Now that our roster is finally set (pretty much), this would be my best guess for starting line up Jarron Coleman Juwan Gary Keisei Tominaga Brice Williams Rient Mast And what is beneficial this year as we have some depth and can adjust the line-up as needed and not drop off much as in past year. Have a feeling this team could be sneaky good this year.

  14. Thanks for posting the videos. Also would not read much into the games themselves. Yes they are blowouts. This looks to be more of a team building/bonding trip in my view.

  15. Ten years ago today, a lot of people, including myself, lost a really good friend. It was someone I'd known for close to 40 years as he grew up a few miles away. I didn't go to the same high school, but I was in the same 4-H club, worked some of the same jobs in the summer, was on the same high school team for a year, took a whole bunch of classes with him in college, and got to hang around him a decent amount. He had the rare ability to make sitting through the dullest things like a Thermodynamics class entertaining. I never heard anyone speak a bad word of him, except that maybe his feet were too big and he didn't cut his fingernails down enough. He was also the stepfather of Josiah Allick and his siblings. Josiah switched his jersey number to 53 this year, in honor of him, because that was his football jersey number. I don't know Josiah, but I hope he has a huge season this year. Go Big Red.

  16. Give me K Moriarty at the starting guard position if Allison’s knee isn’t 100% when the season starts.
