We seemed to score at ease.  I still cannot tell if it was good offense or poor defense or a combination of both. I liked our ball movement and Uhlis made several excellent passes in the pick and roll.

The best three point shooting team in the country made their average (14), which is more than they made when they won at Georgia Tech and at South Carolina, and we still won by 31. Checked a lot of boxes tonight. The first two conference games are winnable. Lock in, boys.

They have committed to taking away anything in the paint and not fouling (especially not and1 or shooting fouls). And we’re doing a hell of a job of it.

Either of them sound like these players are over the age of 50. "Don't sneeze, you might pull your hip flexor."

Didn't see us blowing them out.  A very well played game, especially with one of our starters out.

The takeaway for me is if Essegian gets hot, we're a tough out. But we'll see what things look like if Essegian isn't hitting.

I agree with you, I also want to point out that the more I watch I really think we are a nightmare defensively.  That’s gonna help us a lot in league play.  Plus we rebound so dang well, theirs in the conference.

• Nebraska has now won 17 straight at home dating back to last season. 
• Nebraska’s 103 points is the most since scoring 110 against Doane on Dec. 17, 2021. The last time NU scored 100 points against a Division One opponent was 100 in a four overtime loss to NC State on Dec. 1, 2021.  Nebraska has had season highs in points in each of the last two games. 
• Nebraska shot a season-high 58.0 percent and a season-best 45.8 percent from 3-point range in the win. It is the first time NU shot at least 50 percent this season.
• Connor Essegian led Nebraska with a game-high 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting, including 6-of-8 from 3-point range. He is the first Husker in the Big Ten era to hit at least six 3-pointers in consecutive games, as well as the first in at least 20 seasons. Essegian is the first Husker with multiple games with at least six 3-pointers in a season since Kobe Webster in 2020-21.

Please don't remind us of that 4OT loss to NC State. We got SO screwed by the refs that night. I still want to throw something at my TV when I think about that game.

That was impressive - UNF didn't have a lot of interest in playing defense very deep into the shot clock, and we took full advantage - for the most part, we didn't let them lull us into a back-and-forth 3-pt shooting contest - we worked to get great shots instead of good shots.

I thought we were solid defensively, outside of losing some 3-pt shooters in transition and after offensive rebounds. UNF did a good job to get into the 70s and they hit some really tough shots. They should be able to do some damage in their league. 

12 steals will always play - we deflected a lot of balls.

Need to get Berke healthy for Saturday - going to be a fistfight in E Lansing like always.

Did not anticipate a 31-pt. victory. I figured N. Florida would hit 20 threes and it would be a 40-min. contest. Pleasantly surprised by NU stepping up and making a ton of shots, which forced the Osprey shooters to launch shots that they felt they had to take to get back into it & they did not make them in the 1st half. Now, 2nd half the Osprey did make them but it was far too late to overcome the great effort by the Big Red today. It was definitely not a trap game for the Huskers, even though it could have been. I have a feeling that this team can do some good things in the Big Ten. Time will tell the story. GBR

Possibly deepest team since when?  90-91?

The more I’ve watched this team, the more I see quite a bit of stuff I like. We’re really gelling as a team and pretty early. We’ve had players buy into roles, but also step up when needed as well.

Honestly, we seem like that team who makes your offense look like crap. I have a feeling we’re going to have a number of message boards this year with posts like “we’ll we just didn’t shoot it well” or “well we just had too many errant passes.”

The thing about it is that a lot of that is due to our D. We’re pretty suffocating this year. That was no slouch non-con opponent we should beat by 20+.

A few notes on individuals.

- Conner is thriving and gaining more confidence daily. His stroke is pretty pure too. He’ll have off games for sure (KT did too) but he’ll still get his 8-10 in those games like KT.

- Gavin gave us better minutes today. His shot will come, but they were good shots to take. He had much better hustle today. One play where he either missed a shot or turned it over and he hustled to get a steal from behind.

- Cale is such a valuable player to have in the role he’s in because he’s going to hustle and perform while giving it 110%. That’s not an easy role to fill usually.

- Meah has started to find where he’s going to fit in our O. He didn’t have a great game today by any means but looks more comfortable.

- Big test in these next two. Our Creighton win looks to have put a lot of wind in our sails (much like I believe our MSU win did last year). 

I was extremely nervous for this game, hoping that we could find some way to win, even if only by one point. I could not be more pleased with the outcome today, the team looked great, and we were able to spend much of the second half giving guys opportunities.

Fred was doing all he could to get some confidence for Gavin today, too bad he didn’t hit a couple of those threes and get some confidence, because at this point it’s going to be tough to find a lot of opportunities for him to get a lot of minutes.

Looking forward for conference play. That would be huge if we could somehow sneak out a win against MSU.
