Nebraska 6-2 vs. Creighton 6-2 Game Thread

A box out would be nice,

I dislike Bill Rafferty immensely 

Disappointing.  We have a young team, in our first road game, in a hyped sort of situation (black jerseys and rivalry game), so I am not completely let down.

 

But, it would be nice to turn this around a bit.  I.e. let's just see some real offense, let's see some defense, let's show we can fight, even if we are way down (because this will happen again with the big ten).

Pure class.  All the way.

 

geez - we got a better game and effort out of: 

northern state (D2)

alcorn st

and UMKC

these guys suck. UNO would smoke them if huskers had the balls to play em.

We attack the basket and we can get around them.  We run Doc's dribble around the top of the key and chuck up a 3 we are in trouble given no one can shoot.

Our spacing is terrible!

Nice new uniforms! NU did not show up, this game means more to Creighton than NU. This will be the last Creighton win in many years!

To all Husker fans that will take crap for this game, just remind Creighton fans NU still leads the all time series!

Unfortunately, we put Shields on a pedestal. Not impressed with him this year. King of missed layups.

For as many "I hate Creighton" threads we've had here over the years, to expect anything else is unrealistic.

In my head, I knew we were probably going to lose this game, but I thought for sure it'd be in the 7-12 point range.

 

So I'm okay losing - but second year or eighth year, this is NOT acceptable. Miles doesn't get a pass to get us embarrassed so much that it puts the program back a bit with the locals, which this game WILL do. We can deny it, but a lot of the real casual bandwagon fans are going to move right back to the "same old Nebraska" attitude after this garbage performance. This is hurting more than we probably realize.
