I saw a former Husker who works with recruits when he's not playing overseas make and delete a tweet that basically said that Wingett wasn't going to a 'real' prep school or something along those lines. I hope he doesn't fall through the cracks.

2018 Bull City Prep/Team Loaded NC 6’7 Wing David Wingett receives offer from Eastern Michigan

Pretty sure with this offer, EMU has now offered Aguek Arop, Aguir Agau, and David Wingett. They love them some Nebraska products.

Going way back, Dwaine Dillard from Omaha Central went to EMU. He was the Nebraska prep hoops version of Lew Alcindor. Seen better players, including Hoppen and Strickland, but none that was more dominating. Had some issues during his career, but was an NBA draft pick in the '70s and played in the ABA.

Sounds like he is on a legit AAU team, and holding his own and then some. Offers will continue to roll in.

Am I wrong or was the knock on him that he had major issues with his motor. Never want a kid that you need to beg to play hard. Like I said though, could be way off base here

Not sure, he was usually head n shoulders above others in his class when it came to athletic ability so maybe it just seemed that way. I had heard it was more of a graded Issue and the fact that his high school team isn’t known for traditional defensive concepts.

he is getting quite a bit of love from the National writers right now though
