There is a comma, Normy; perhaps Ryan James should have used a semicolon. ;)

 

A semicolon would not have been appropriate there, as "his fourth of the day" is not an independent clause.

 

Your semicolon, on the other hand, was perfectly used.  :) :)

I'm not terribly proud about being the main reason for the saga, but it does make me smile from time to time.  I've given three up arrows in the past couple days for their proper use.  I'm a dork that way!
