AuroranHusker Posted April 15, 2016 Report Posted April 15, 2016 (Former KU player and Barstow Coach Billy) Thomas said he had never really thought of a player Horne reminds him of until watching Villanova’s win over North Carolina in the NCAA title game. The man who hit the game-winning 3-pointer — Kris Jenkins — is a 6-6, 240-pound, barrel-chested forward with a sweet shot. “That’s what Jeriah is like,” his coach said. “Tough kid, strong kid who can surprise people with his soft shooting touch. He can shoot it from anywhere on the floor, and do it off the dribble or catch and shoot. http://www.omaha.com/huskers/plenty-to-like-about-husker-hoops-signee-jeriah-horne-strength/article_1ab15b68-1479-5e01-9cee-739ae7214b7b.html Quote

Fat boy could really shoot. Here's his mixtape: Quote
Norm Peterson Posted April 15, 2016 Report Posted April 15, 2016 Here's another Kris Jenkins video from HS. He's got a lot of bounce for a heavy kid who was only 6'5" at the time. And every Husker player who wants a green light to shoot from outside should watch this kid's form b/c he has the jump shot down. And every Husker player who wants to receive post-entry passes and thinks they can wheel and score, watch his footwork. Superb. Quote
busticket Posted April 15, 2016 Report Posted April 15, 2016 Hopefully Horne was peer recruiting the heck out of Porter during their shootout. Quote
colhusker Posted April 25, 2016 Report Posted April 25, 2016 Hopefully Horne was peer recruiting the heck out of Porter during their shootout. Agree but my gut tells me Porter becomes a Billie Self Chicken Hawk at the end of the day. Quote

That HS team was extremely talented with Jenkins and 4 PG/SG Bryant Crawford whom we tried recruiting. Quote
hhcmatt Posted May 6, 2016 Author Report Posted May 6, 2016 We've talked about Michael Porter here as he played against Jeriah in the finals. Looks like a big magnet to Washington. Quote

Norm Peterson Posted May 10, 2016 Report Posted May 10, 2016 Horne moved up from #129. What was Roby's prior ranking? I'm pretty sure he's ranked much higher on Scout. Quote

Huskerpapa Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 Just left the frigid Royals vs. Braves game. Did I mention is was cold. Oh yeah, the point...I sat in front of a nice lady who was/is Jeriah's speech teacher. She said the Jeriah is a heck of a basketball player, but equally impressive is that he is heck of a person. She was happy that he is a Husker...so are we!!! 49r, Red Rum, Norm Peterson and 3 others 6 Quote
