Marcus Foster dismissed from team-- (if we are going after Missouri State guy, I would rather go after Foster.  Both possible problems, but good guards.)

 

Foster has been playing against a higher level of competition, has 20 lbs on Marshall, and has 2 years instead of 1.

Marshall is a much more effective scorer though whereas Foster is the leading scorer because he takes the most shots. Statistically, Foster is a shorter Petteway who doesn't draw near the contact.

 

The Jays offered Foster in the past but I'm not sure they circle back with a guy who got booted off a Bruce Weber team. I also doubt he goes to one of the Big 12 teams that previously recruited him. I'd put my money on Houston.

Derrick Gordon from UMass is transferring again!! Will be his 3rd school.

UMass prolly didn't have the major he was looking to change to, huh?

 

They have Sociology but he prolly wanted to major in HUMAN Sociology.  There's a difference.

Speaking of ashes, there are reports, I won't say where I saw them, that indicate that Marcus was hittin the train pretty hard, supposedly even set off the fire alarm in Lubbock.  LOL

I'd take Derrick Gordon in a heartbeat

 

Seems like an East Coast kid. He's a shooting guard with no range but strong and can get to the rim. He could be a role player on a good team or the focal point of a bad one....I suppose it depends on his goals.

Do we know if we're in the running for him?

 

I'd be surprised.  Not that we won't go after him, but this is the type of transfer that almost every team in the country wants.

Just what was reported on the sports report tonight.  Didn't mention where he was interested in going, just mentioned he was their leading scorer this year.
