After looking at who we have to play these next 3 games I really like our chances to get to 10 wins before conference play!!! That is better than I thought we would be at that point. I also think there are a few more winnable games in the Big 10 than I did before preseason. I am gonna say 14 wins and that is a great coaching job!!! Future looks good! GBR

Bottom line, we made the plays (we?, OK, they) at the end to win. That's what we've always said the team had to do, right? There are no moral victories; therefore, there shouldn't be any moral losses, either, right? Can't take anyone for granted, sure, but we still got the win. And it wouldn't be beyond imagining that we could get to 10 wins before conference play.

Other than this missed layup that had at the end of the game that would have put them up 1 with seconds remaining.

No, the layup would have tied it. If they'd made the layup and drawn a foul, the foul shot would have put them up 1. Or, if they'd shot a 3 ptr instead, they'd have been up 1. But the missed layup was for a tie. They were playing for overtime, not to win it in regulation.

I think our record is 7-3 and the only non-con left is central michigan and Nicholls st. Where is everyone getting 10 wins or are we counting Midland? I don't think Midland counts.

NVM. I didn't realize Central Mich was part of a 4 team tourney.

Norm is correct, and Barfnecht totally whiffed on the scenario in the OWH.

I'll be more than a little shocked if we manage to beat the Miners down in El Paso.

They haven't been that great this year but I hadn't realized that Tim Floyd is the coach down there these days. Keno Davis is coaching Central Michigan. The winning coach potentially receives a sombrero

UTEP hasn't been great, but they just last week got 2 starters back from a suspension. They will be a much different team now. Couldn't they sit out for like 1 more week?

I just hope nobody decides to check out Juarez while they are down there or else they may end up without anything to place the sombrero upon. Too bad since I spent lot of pleasant times over there back in the day.

I won't worry about UTEP unless we actually beat Central Michigan first. That game might be tougher than people think.

Anyone remember that we played Central Michigan last year?

Completely different team with a different coach. They're also rebuilding
