Well coming from somebody with a handle on this I will help.

Timber- the call of a lumberjack as a tree is falling.

Sandstrom- a strom of sand.

Slam- another word for dunk.

Onyx- a cool shiny black rock.

Now I don't know what this has to do with music but hope this helped.

I would be very opposed to that.  Not national anthem decorum at all.  If Jayfan wants to disrespect that, I guess that is Jayfan's business, but it should not be emulated.

Yeah, "home of the brave!" is meaningful (some might even say sacred) and should not be effed with.  It really chaps my hide that folks here in KC are actually stupid enough to scream "home of the CHIEEEEFS" during the anthem at every game...even Royals, Sporting, KU, KSU, MU, UMKC, Rockhurst, etc. etc....they even did it this year during watch parties for the World Series and World Cup games for God's sake.

 

Husker Power can wait until the color guard starts marching off the court.  That's just my $0.02

I'm actually glad the husker students stopped doing it, because they DID used to do the exact same thing and shout out "home of the Huskers".

totally agree, we can and should add this in to spice it up after a big sker push to lead or extend like that. Good pump up song as well: "I'm calling timber, it's going down, it's going down" seems to work well in big games like this
