hhcmatt Posted June 16, 2014 Report Posted June 16, 2014 Looking to take an unofficial here Out of Cincinnati http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/macio-teague Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted June 16, 2014 Report Posted June 16, 2014 according to Robin he's hearing from some higher schools like Miami, Xavier, UCLA, and Baylor. So hes on the cusp it sounds like from being a high level guy. Quote
lanigan123 Posted June 17, 2014 Report Posted June 17, 2014 Nice player. Might speak to where we sit on some other guards. Quote
Cookie Belcher Posted June 17, 2014 Report Posted June 17, 2014 He hasn't received an offer yet from us, though. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted June 17, 2014 Report Posted June 17, 2014 any relation to the NBA Teague's? I'm guessing not. Jeff and Marquis do have another brother I cannot find a name for but they lived in Indianapolis. As far as cousins I cant find any link either. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted June 17, 2014 Report Posted June 17, 2014 Is it just me, or is his outside shot basically a set shot. As he matures into a college player, he will likely need to get a bit more off the ground in order to get his shot off. Nice touch though. Quote
NeHoops Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 Is it just me or do a fair number of these visits seem to all of a sudden be made public with little or no advance notice to the media? Wouldn't it work to Nebraska's advantage to make these visits known ASAP to the media? We have all heard stories of recruits of various sports being very impressed that Nebraska fans knew who they were and greeting them in airports, on campus or around town. Quote
atskooc Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 It might have something to do with the visits (well, a lot of them) being unofficial. If the university sends out info about an unofficial visit that then has to be cancelled, it might make the recruit look bad, like he's backing out or something. I think it's harder for the university to keep the visits scheduled if they're on the players' dimes. hhcmatt 1 Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 The more I watch the more he reminds me of Hallice Cooke coming out of HS. He was All pac 12 freshman team this past year and just transferred to Iowa State. They have a similar shot and their games are pretty similar in style overall as well. hhcmatt and ShortDust 2 Quote

I mean there's not a ton of video on him from high school, as he was a mid tier 3 star prospect, but if you watch this one from his senior year you can see a lot of similarities. I got a chance to watch Cooke a couple times living here in Oregon at OSU so thats why its an easier connection having watched him in person. Quote
Swan88 Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Here is an AAU highlight video of MaCioTeague posted earlier this month. This video illustrates Kamdy's comparison of Teague with Cooke--nice catch on this comparison, Kamdy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=kgrzjFAt5Ss Quote
The Coach Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 He has an offer from Yale, so you know he's a smart kid. I think we could use an outside shooter like him. Quote
ShortDust Posted July 5, 2014 Report Posted July 5, 2014 https://twitter.com/JoshHarveyScout/status/485485949368139776Any one able to summarize? Quote
colhusker Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 Sounds like he loved the facilities and coaches. Quote
kldm64 Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 So basically the same thing we hear from every kid after his visit here. Quote
Swan88 Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 So basically the same thing we hear from every kid after his visit here. Nice that Nebrasketball gets positive reactions from all visitors. However, would also like to know, (1) whether he received an offer or not, and (2) whether he is a first-priority or back-up plan. NeHoops 1 Quote
