49r Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 plus the family got stuck in Denver again because of weather and lack of pilot. Best part is we only need to wait a week. I think we can get this thread over 20 pages easy in a week. hhcmatt 1 Quote
ajb5856 Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 I think he chooses us. How's that for positive thinking? I also believe that he's just excited for his free Las Vegas trip for the weekend even though he's not committing to them. That's what the tweets are all about. Free trip. Not because he likes the school. hhcmatt 1 Quote
REDZONEDAN Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 I would love to get his commitment, but I'm not feeling optimistic after his visit. Quote

FredsSlacks Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 It's going to be funny when UNLV fans start tweeting Jordan that he should walk-on at unlv instead of going to Nebraska. colhusker 1 Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 There's a lot of talk that there is another player that they should know by Friday whether or not he is transferring out. So currently they are at 0 schollies but that could change by the time he visits UNLV. Quote

When will you be transferring else where 3. For new recruits only: Do you estimate you will play for more than 2.5 years for UNLV Silverbacked1 and a0t0w0 2 Quote

Norm Peterson Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 Why would you want to play for someone who has to "make room" for you? Isn't that an indication they treat their players like chattel? You go somewhere that is busy clearing room for new players, isn't that an indication that next year, they could be making room for someone to replace you? That's about as smart as planning on a long term relationship with Elizabeth Taylor. Or, for those too young to remember Liz, like someone planning a long term relationship with Madonna. Quote

hhcmatt Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 according to Cornish, the coaching staff has told him that there will be room for him on the roster. http://lasvegassun.com/news/2014/may/14/rutgers-guard-commits-unlv-adding-another-transfer/ Quote

GATA Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 I guess Cornish could look at it one of two ways: It's off-putting to run off players to fit me in and maybe it'll be me in two years, or they like me so much they're willing to make room for me! Quote
ajb5856 Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 Well...the crystal ballers are making predictions...two of them coming in today...Jerry Meyer the national guy and Michael Bohlin the Georgetown analyst both predict Cornish to UNLV. Closing percentage tumbles again. Who's next? Quote
ajb5856 Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 Ok. Flip flopping on my feelings on this one. Just yesterday I decided to resort to positive thinking and now I'm reversing it. I hope he proves me wrong, but he's gonna pick UNLV. We've discussed this before, but I think we just need to find those couple of higher profile guys that aren't afraid to commit to us, just to make it known that it's really okay to play basketball at Nebraska. We've been on plenty of final lists, but when it comes down to it, despite the great facilities, and to no fault of the coaches, we get snubbed by LSU or this time, UNLV. We are considered, but it seems like we are lower on a recruits list than the other schools going into the visit or not seriously considered or something. I don't know if that's true, it's just what it seems like when we hear all the time from recruits that Nebraska was "better than I expected". Quote
