There will be a lot of blue at our game on Friday, which team will they be rooting for? Will they all be for us so they have the opportunity to play us, and they get to play the "worse" team? Or are they going to be rooting against us because a lot of them hate all things Nebraska?

Also on the other side of things, if we beat Baylor will you all be cheering for Creighton to give us the opportunity to play them? Or for ULL to give us an easier path to the sweet 16?

I'm one of those heretics that roots for Creighton when they're not playing us. I think we'll get some solid support from them, as well as ISU fans who will root against Baylor and for us for old time's sake.

We won't be hurting for support, I think.

I doubt they will cheer for us...any chance to play us is at risk for them. They beat us it is easy for us to say hey year two look atvgreat season we had...come get by our ass beating at PBA next year. If we were to beatvthem in the dance then it would be meltdown city as this is their dream team. They will want Baylor

They have little brother synrdrome.  They won't be cheering for us.  Many of them hate us more than they like themselves.  Many of them would be on suicide watch if they lost to us.  They would much rather play the more difficult perceived game(even though their dumb asses believe the are 30 better than us).  If we can win our game somehow, then I will certainly be rooting for them to lose though.  Whatever gives us the best chance to win the whole damn thing is what I want.

So you are saying is every logical Omaha resident will root for NU...since we are so weak...

In Texas, we could use the support!

This honestly represents almost no CU fan that I've ever known. I don't think we can extrapolate from infantile internet yahoos the character of an entire fanbase for any school. So while their boards may react like that, they're not the only ones going to the game. I know a lot of CU fans, and most of them will root for both teams except if and when they play each other. Thy play right after us, so we'll see if we get a little boost from them or if they sit on their hands. I expect mixed results.

Totally agree. I have a friend that's a Creighton alum and was bummed at the matchup because he wanted both teams to advance as far as possible.

I grew up in Bellevue and was one of those guys who liked seeing both Nebraska and Creighton do well. Nothing has really changed IMO. If Nebraska bows out, I have no problem with Creighton making a run.

As for Friday-Sunday in San Antonio, I'm hoping that the ISU fans will show us their full support in cheering against a Big 12 rival and against Greg McDermott since he was terrible in Ames.

If we bow out I become a Baylor fan.

Suicide watch? Really? A little much. Not a joking matter.

A Nebraska win puts tremendous pressure on CU as they do not want their "dream season" to end at the hands of the Huskers. While they may prefer to play Nebraska over Baylor, playing Nebraska would be a "can't lose" game for them and their fans that may lead to them playing very tight. The majority of them will be pulling for Baylor IMO.

Very true....some of has to deal with suicide...my girlfriend for example committed suicide just over a year ago.  I don't see much humor in the topic.

This kind of talk is wearing thin on me as well.  It's a game.  It's silly to generalize about our fan base and other schools fan bases.  Both schools have good people.  It's just a few from both schools who are taking their fanaticism to a disfunctional level.

Every creighton fan I know that is from Nebraska roots for both teams.

The only place I see the hatred for one or the other is really on these message boards.

Now the non native Nebraskas that went to creighton or adopted creighton don't root for Nebraska.
