Ok this is really picky, but could you possibly post the new days on the OP but also copy and pasted in a new post every day? If not, that's fine, it would just be a bit easier for people who mainly check this on their phones/tablets like me

Edit: not new thread, just new reply

To get a first round bye we'd have to be the four seed, correct? I don't see how we get that high. We are looking at either the five or the six with Minnesota, no?

I don't want the first round bye.

I think it's sort of a win-win.  There is little chance we would get a 4 seed without winning out and if we win out, there is no way we aren't in the tourney.

Or to put it another way.  There's no way they're gonna shut out the 4th place team from the freakin' B1G from the dance.  I mean, has that EVER happened?

I am almost positive Iowa was snubbed out of a 4 recently...they lost their only game in the conference tourney....

In 2007 Iowa finished in a 3 way tie for 4th place and with a 17-13 record (9-7 in conference).  They lost their first game and it looks like they might not have even made the NIT.

Shuttlesworth possibly going forward you could just put the games as a reply instead of editing the original post. Maybe that would be easier. Awesome work on this thread!

I agree. It's more clicks to actually go back and find the first post in this topic than when you log in and automatically get taken to the first unread post you haven't seen yet.

Thursday features an underwhelming slate of games with bubble/RPI implications. That's perfectly fine because we're all going to be busy getting rowdy at PBA.

6 PM
UAB at Marshall
CHARLOTTE vs Middle Tennessee

7 PM
UTSA at Southern Miss

8 PM
SETON HALL vs Georgetown CBS Sports Net

10 PM
GONZAGA at BYU ESPN 2
USC at Stanford PAC12
SAN FRANCISCO vs Saint Mary's Root Sports

Friday 2/21

Go out and enjoy yourself on Friday night. Not much going on here:

Current RPI: 51 Previous RPI: 52

5 PM

FGCU vs Mercer ESPNU

6 PM

UMASS vs VCU ESPN 2

PENN vs Harvard

While under the radar, FGCU and Mercer are battling for the A-Sun title. Would be nice if when the committee was considering us if FGCU was a tournament team. Penn, Harvard is NOT a bubble game in my opinion. I think the Ivy is one bid league. Don't see how the Crimson Pride would be in if they lost the Ivy regular season. Remember, no tournament there.

Agree on Harvard, Tony. But with an RPI of 56 (BPI of 46), a 20-4 record (with 6 games left), and being tied for the conference lead with Yale, I decided to throw them on there. But yes, it's probably a one bid league, regardless.

So wouldn't we want Harvard to win the league outright with no conference tourney title game?  Say another team does and Harvard steals a bid?

Harvard probably wouldn't steal a bid if they don't win the title. They haven't really beaten anybody.

What we are trying to say, bball23 is that if Harvard were to somehow lose the Ivy League down the stretch is that they would not make the tournament anyway.

Ok....but then does the regular season conference champ get an auto bid?  I'm now sure how the IVY league works.  Say Penn wins the league, then Harvard may get an at-large as well?  In that case we would want Harvard to win the league correct and get the auto bid?  Or do they not get an auto bid for winning the league without a conference tournament?

The Ivy gets an auto bid and it is for their regular season champion. What Shuttlesworth and I are trying to point out is that if Harvard does not win the league, they probably won't take a bid, because their profile is not at-large worthy.
