HF_ Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Come home, Akoy. You will be in scarlet and cream by this time next year. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Im curious to see if we will ever find out why he was suspended. Quote
HuskerCager Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Very, very interesting.... http://www.whas11.com/news/local/Louisville-forward-Agau-suspended-indefinitely-236748761.html Quote

Silverbacked1 Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 If the prodical son does come return, be sure to check out the Fattened Calf special at Cip's place. Now that is funny no matter who are!!! Quote
HuskerCager Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 The phrase "indefinitely" catches my eye. When Miles has suspended someone he planned on keeping on the roster, it has been for one or two games. Pitino's next press conference should be interesting. This story will be on the average Creighton / Nebraska fan's radar screen a lot more than the average Louisville fan. Quote
royalfan Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 The writing appears to be on the wall. That marriage does not seem likely to work out. Quote
royalfan Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Has anyone followed him on twitter or anything since he made the call to go there? Just curious if he has said anything that indicates he likes or dislikes it there. Quote

Section_316 Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 RSS claims fighting was the issue, not sure if this was at practice or at a party or what? hhcmatt 1 Quote
ajb5856 Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Anyone think this is a grades thing? It's that time of year. Indefinitely meaning ending whenever the grades come up, if they ever do? Quote
Nighthawk Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 just hopped on the CBS board. not a lot of comments but the one there about his playing skills was interesting. Would we want him??? http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/24382109/louisville-big-akoy-agau-suspended-indefinitely Hooper and jdostal 1 1 Quote

There has to be several Louisville boards...try hitting those. Quote

#GATA Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 I've looked on a couple Louisville message boards. Not a whole lot is being said. One poster said that they thought he'd easily be the first one to transfer this year. Should be interesting to see what happens with this. I can't imagine Pitino begging him to come back, for Louisville probably doesn't need him to be successful in the grand scheme of things. Quote
berlinblackshirts Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Come home, Son. And I don't mean Omaha Quote
Neon Budreau Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Agree with AJB that grades seem like a potential reason because of the timing of the 1st semester ending. Maybe the fighting thing thrown on top of that. No one likely really knows outside of the UL program. Stiltz Guy 1 Quote
tcp Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Rumor connects this to Miami trip. If so, probably a solid rules violation. On the other hand, indefinitely isn't out for the season, so probably wasn't a case of dealing a plane load of coke to Crockett and Tubbs, so there's that. hhcmatt 1 Quote
Swan88 Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Here is a link to the official announcement on the Louisville University website, and here is the text of the announcement: Dec. 20, 2013 LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville forward Akoy Agau has been suspended indefinitely from the Cardinals' men's basketball team. A 6-foot-8 freshman from Omaha, Neb., Agau (pronounced uh-KOY uh-GOW; like cow with a "G") has appeared in seven games this season, scoring two points and grabbing seven rebounds. He averaged 12.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and blocked 81 shots as a senior last season in leading Omaha Central to a 26-4 record and a fourth straight Nebraska Class A state championship. Louisville (10-1) plays at FIU on Saturday (6 p.m., Fox Sports 1). Quote
boomer1 Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 I used to think his stats were out of this world compared to our recruits of the past. With our newer recruits his numbers don't impress me as much. For comparison: Nate Hawkins senior season: 16.4 points 7.1 rebounds Akoy senior season: 12.8 points 6.1 rebounds If akoy were to leave Louisville would we even try very hard to woo him back??? Quote
Tallbaby21 Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Abso...lutely. He's a defensive difference maker. Quote
boomer1 Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 I agree he was a difference maker in Class A Nebraska ball. Not saying he wouldn't help. It'll be interesting to see what happens. Quote
