The phrase "indefinitely" catches my eye.  When Miles has suspended someone he planned on keeping on the roster, it has been for one or two games.   Pitino's next press conference should be interesting.  This story will be on the average Creighton / Nebraska fan's radar screen a lot more than the average Louisville fan.

Has anyone followed him on twitter or anything since he made the call to go there?  Just curious if he has said anything that indicates he likes or dislikes it there.

he has not posted anything since august 18, that is discipline

just hopped on the CBS board. not a lot of comments but the one there about his playing skills was interesting. Would we want him??? http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/24382109/louisville-big-akoy-agau-suspended-indefinitely

Friends don't let friends read the CBS board comment section.  There has to be several Louisville boards...try hitting those.

I've looked on a couple Louisville message boards.  Not a whole lot is being said.  One poster said that they thought he'd easily be the first one to transfer this year. Should be interesting to see what happens with this.  I can't imagine Pitino begging him to come back, for Louisville probably doesn't need him to be successful in the grand scheme of things.

Rumor connects this to Miami trip. If so, probably a solid rules violation. On the other hand, indefinitely isn't out for the season, so probably wasn't a case of dealing a plane load of coke to Crockett and Tubbs, so there's that.

Here is a link to the official announcement on the Louisville University website, and here is the text of the announcement:

Dec. 20, 2013

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville forward Akoy Agau has been suspended indefinitely from the Cardinals' men's basketball team.

A 6-foot-8 freshman from Omaha, Neb., Agau (pronounced uh-KOY uh-GOW; like cow with a "G") has appeared in seven games this season, scoring two points and grabbing seven rebounds. He averaged 12.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and blocked 81 shots as a senior last season in leading Omaha Central to a 26-4 record and a fourth straight Nebraska Class A state championship.

Louisville (10-1) plays at FIU on Saturday (6 p.m., Fox Sports 1).

I used to think his stats were out of this world compared to our recruits of the past. With our newer recruits his numbers don't impress me as much. For comparison:

Nate Hawkins senior season:

16.4 points

7.1 rebounds

Akoy senior season:

12.8 points

6.1 rebounds

If akoy were to leave Louisville would we even try very hard to woo him back???
