That SDSU v Mich game worries me. I picked Mich but I think it will be a touch match. Just think the depth of Mich will serve them well at the end.

I thought the officials were really trying to give the game to Southern.  Some really bad calls especially going down the stretch.  The drama of having a 1 seed get knocked off didn't need help from the guys in stripes.

At first I thought the charge on the zaga center the one with long hair was a good call, But the replay showed it was a block like the lower ref wanted to call.

The same ref missed a double dribble at the other end... so make up call...

How did we miss on Eikmeier again?  I enjoyed watching him play in H.S. and he seemed like a kid that could play D1

Not sure, but I would hope so.  He started at ISU correct?  I just figured an in-state kid getting attention from other D1 schools would get attention from NU.

went to ISU, realized he wouldnt be able to bang night in night out in the Big 12 at his size and weight and saw the writing on the wall that he probably wouldnt get minutes if/when they brought in someone better and got out early.

I'm 11-5 after yesterday and just happy I didn't wager any money this year. First it was Jeremy Lin and now this. Who ever said Harvard was all about eggheads and snobs. Can Nebraska be that far behind in getting at least one NCAA win? All we need is a Canadian to go with our Kiwi.

Two Nebraska kids scoring double figure points in a win in the NCAA tourney.  But not playing for Nebraska.  Which didn't make the tourney.  So, can someone tell me again how they weren't good enough for us?

Colorado State was a fun team to watch. If we look like that in a couple years I will be a happy man. What a fantastic job Miles did at that program.

So, that Akron vs. VCU "game."  What do you do?  If you're Shaka Smart, that is.  No starter played more than 26 minutes.  Three starters played fewer than 20 minutes.  I think they continued to press pretty much the whole time and forced 21 turnovers.  Final score was 88-42.  That's a crushing of historical proportions.  Most lopsided 5/12 game ever.

 

If Akron had a full roster, I might feel differently, but with them down a few players for various reasons, I think I have a problem with overkill.  The lead was insurmountable at half time.  Ten minutes into the 2nd half, they should have been running the clock down to virtually nothing on every possession.  But with 9 minutes left in the game and a lead of 77-35, they were far from the point of running clock to kill the game.  After Akron hit a free throw to close to 77-36 with 8:35 to play, VCU scores on a dunk :22 later.

 

Again, I might feel differently if Akron was at full strength.  But embarrassing a team that's missing so many players?  That's ... just not right, IMO.  But, I don't know.  Not sure what he could have done significantly different.  With all those missing players, it left Akron really not a legitimate NCAA tourney team.

And they thought that the Huskers were killing their RPI. And by moving to a new conference they would dominate the SEC.
