6-12...are you kidding me? Not only that, but 6-7 to end the conference season...this season would have to be considered a gigantic success. Shoot, it's already a big success in my book, but I can't find the thread to resurrect from earlier this season, but I'm pretty sure 4 was the mark that most would have considered a good season. Hard to believe we've won more games than last year's team.

A win Saturday would be fantastic!

I don't think it's going to happen (not with the way we won in Lincoln), but I'd be stoked if it did!

If things would have bounced differently, we could have won 6 more games as they were 10 points or less losses.

Think if we were to have won those we would be 11-5 and tied for 2nd with a game to go.

Just something to think about.

What would we be saying now if that would have happened? :o

Here's the goal: we need to beat Iowa on Satursay, then win enough games in the B1G tourney to get a home NIT game so that, when we win, the students can do the slow-motion rush-the-court that Tim Miles suggested in last night's post-game presser. Wouldn't that be cool!!!

Probably nothing, because this board would have probably been overrun by an insane amount of new fans and would have exceeded the bandwith, causing the site to collapse.

A win Saturday and I think we should get in the NIT. A team right around .500 overall and 6 wins in the Big10 should get in the NIT and that would be a big step in the right direction for our program.

Not with a losing record overall though

Maybe... could not have a ton of upsets in the conference tournies... We have a high enough SOS and probably RPI

Since the NCAA took over the NIT there has not been a team invited with a losing record.  My guess is its an unwritten rule for them.

I share your opinion... but assume Minnesota and Illinois make the dance and Iowa is left out. MAYBE the NIT would want more than one team from the nation's best conference? Probably wishful thinking...

I am pretty happy with where things stand...I am concerned about just a couple of things:

1) We seem to be recruiting talented kids...the four and five star kids.  Perhaps Tai is a 4* - but not a consensus 4*.  When will we start seeing those studs sign with us, and play well for us?  I am hoping this comes to fruition.  But for us to move to the next level, we certainly need to upgrade our jimmy's and joe's.  This is not a knock on our current talent, rather and acknowledgement that we need to upgrade.

2) We had a couple of games this year where we looked as if we phoned it in.  To get to that next level, that cannot happen.  Coach Miles said earlier this year that the team had to learn how to win and what it took to win.  Against Iowa and again against Minnesota, it appeared we got "it".  But we need to start next season with "it" and then build upon "it"

One thing I'm not sure if any of you are aware of...right after state boys tournament they HAVE to begin the big part of the construction at the Bob to get it ready for Volleyball. My dad knows the guy in charge and he said that construction had to actually start the day after the Minnesota game. If we make it to the NIT I wouldn't count on any games being played here. Just an FYI.
