I'm glad for how we fought back, got the lead back, and gave ourselves a chance to win after a lackluster third quarter at best. It was a good year, just didn't end well in the last minute and a half or so. In a game this close you can always look at a few things that had we performed differently we would still be playing.  So we look to see what happens in the off-season and how we can build and hopefully be a better program overall moving forward! GBR! 🌽🌽🏀♥️

too bad that two of our best players go out with plays they wish they had back.  And before those plays, there were two more -  AM having a rebound firmly between her hands before having it swiped away and BP's bucket that was out of her hands a quarter of a second too late.  Turnovers, having too little ball movement on offense, and giving up way too many rebounds spelled our doom.  I hope that all the underclassmen stay around next year.

Britt got screwed at the end there. Her 3rd should have never happened as Markowski got fouled right before that, her 4th was an awful charge call, and the 5th could have went either way I guess, but appears to have jumped under her.

The refs had money on the game.

A good season overall. At least we made it to the tournament. For 3 seasons in a row now, we have had at least one starting player suffer a season-ending knee injury. I can’t even put into words what a cruel twist of fate that is. It’s not fair and it sucks. Maybe next year, fate will smile on us and all our players will stay healthy throughout the season. I’d say we’ve paid our karmic dues.
Returning players and coaches, preparing for next season begins Monday morning!

Nebraska had UL in foul trouble in the 4th, even being in the bonus at the 7-min. mark yet couldn't take advantage of that. I thought the calls later in the game were highly suspect, compared to how the game was called for 85% of the game. Oh well, it is what it is. I thought Britt got totally shafted on most of the fouls called against her. And UL grabbed, clawed, and pushed & hardly seemed to be whistled for that stuff late in the ballgame. I'm frustrated but it was bound to end, I had just hoped that NU could finish strong & make it until Sunday. GBR

I did not have power back till late afternoon and had a function to go to last night so only highlights from the game on youtube. Did get to listen to Matt and Jeff some. Considering what we lost this year (Potts and Weidner). We did better than one might have expected. Officials are always going to make questionable calls. Some hurt more than others. I also do think they get their marching orders if you know what I am referring to. We had our chances, just couldn't finish it. I like what we have for guards coming back we just need some athletic 4-5s from the portal. Great thoughts from the board.

Amiah Hargrove needs more playing time. Excellent stats and is physically tough.  Needs to play some at the three where we have been weak.

I think you will see a lot of her on the floor next year. If you look at the last few recruiting classes, it looks like Amy is building a team that will run up and down the court. As much as she likes to substitute, I wonder if we will see some of what Tennessee does substituting five at a time every few minutes. The Tennessee women play like it is a hockey game. Petra is the only recruit in the last several classes that doesn’t have speed in her game. I laughed a little yesterday when the announcer mentioned that Alexis didn’t even make it across half court on one Louisville possession. With the exception of Petra, that shouldn’t be a problem next year.

A team that has 24 turnovers is not likely going to win.  This is in part to coaching as well as the players.  There is no confidence in the coaching on this.  Also NE only had 8 foul shots versus 15 for Lou which is BS based on Lou's roughness.  We still need a big or more for next year with again no confidence in Wuilliams on this!  Also still need more drives to the basket.  Markowski and Rimdal will be missed but not the other seniors.

If you want to see 5 man swap, go watch Hastings college did this year. They avg. 90 pts. a game in their last 10 games. they score 116, 112 pts. And in one game they scored 90 while shooting 35%. They are a fun team to watch. They have two girls that as soon as they are on the floor it is instant offense.

Ton of small school Nebraska girls on that team too, great to see

I know it's early to talk about next season but what the hell.  I will throw in my 2 cents worth.  Assuming every one comes back that can and Natalie has a successful recovery we could take another step up the ladder.  But we need a couple of portal  players that could be starters as mentioned in numerous postings in the past.  We will have three remaining players next year that will all be sophmores that are high quality starters.  The rest of the remaining team would provide a great bench.  From the portal we need a center to patrol the middle and a  tough and fast defensive minded guard that can handle the ball and take it to the hoop..
