Nebraska men’s basketball team will host a free Red/White scrimmage at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. and the Devaney Center will have a reduced capacity for the event with approximately 6,000 seats available.  Concession stands will be open, and gates will open one hour before the scrimmage. The scrimmage itself will be a full-game simulation.

Free parking will be available for the scrimmage in the lots around the Devaney Center and on Innovation Campus.

I’m anxious to see how many show and the general vibe of the event.  I’m guessing the vibe will be mellow.  But it would be neat if there was a little buzz and a somewhat enthusiastic crowd.  At minimum, I hope we leave thinking “that was cool and I’m excited for the season”.   I’d think the people there would be comparable to an NIT crowd, generally a little more serious about their Husker hoops….serious enough to watch a scrimmage on Sunday afternoon 😃

Who are you most excited to see play ?

I'm going with Rollie Worster.

I'm excited to see his pass making ability and creating winning plays.

I am hoping to see how well he commands the court on both sides of the ball.

Rollie is my 2nd for the reasons you stated. We got a real PG! But I want to see Brice. I want to see how he does with this being his team.

I don't care what anyone says. There was some sort of weird dynamic between Brice and Tominaga for a decent part of the season. And I think Brice plays better this year without Keisei on the team.

I also hope to see him get stronger at the hoop. He gets there no problem. Now I want to see him finish more consistently.

The only thing I ever noticed is that it looked like Brice wasn't a huge fan of Keisei's wild shots since Brice tended to have controlled shots within the flow of the offense. That's the one issue that seemed to manifest itself. I will agree with Brice being the lead dog in the offense in 2024-25, and I've thought all along BW's the Big Dog. Should be good to see a true PG and more athletic bigs as well. The official exhibition game is only 15 days away. GBR!

There were multiple games in the 1st half of the season where Keisei didn't pass it to a wide open Brice and instead took a lowerer percentage shot. As there were multiple games in the 1st half of the season where Brice didn't pass it to a wide open Keisei and instead took a lower percentage shot. It was both of them and it was weird. They did figure it out in the last 1/2 of the season.

I’ve heard Frager might be the real deal. Anxious to see what he looks like along with Jano. I doubt they are going to steal minutes to start the season but am hoping they are legit Big10 guys. Very interested to see how minutes are divided up.

Frager has a b10 body as a 17 year old, so physically and athletically he should be able to hang. It'll be about the skill part of his game. I look at Brooks barnhizer and think that could be frager in 3-4 years as long as his development goes right. I do want him to redshirt this year though, but that'll be up to him

There’s only audio.

Should be available on Huskers.com or the Nebraska mobile app.

Huskers.com isn't showing any audio. NVM I found it.

I won't be able to listen or go today, have pre-existing plans. I'll be at the first home game and every one after. Look forward to seeing how the team looks today. Few things I'd like to know

-how Berke looks with his shot. What kind of looks are they giving him. Movement c&s shots, posts ups, dho and roll, or what.

-how Morgan and meah look and how often they roll

-how the offense runs with ACTUAL PGs
