Having a one game lead over Michigan State, Penn State and Michigan coupled with the tie breakers over Michigan and Michigan State helps us towards getting that coveted top four finish.

We need Penn State to keep losing and for us to continue to play well.  Our last four games are all winnable but you see upsets happening every where.  GBR

To much noise shooting free throws?

Right or wrong ........it happens even in high school let alone college. The students have done it as long as I can remember. ......Kid stuff.

Said early in the season....this group had the potential to be very good. Just been a little struggle to find the 5th starter that could score. Nissley L seems to fit the bill. Some of her shots yesterday were critical to the win. High IQ player obviously along with a wicked eye for the basket.

Late in the game I thought it almost looked like a box and one on the defense. And find out later it was intentional. My question .......So whose idea was that ?

I think it was Lisa Bluders idea so that Clark would be held scoreless in the fourth quarter.  Whose idea do you think it was?  We do have coaches.

Wishful thinking by me on previous posts:

It would be nice to see  Jaz to get back to shooting the threes at a better % like the season she had 2 years ago where she hit 41% for the year but then we also had Haiby and Weidner to successfully take the ball to the hoop which helped set Jaz up.  Remember when she hit 9 threes setting a conference tournament record against Illy?

All I'm saying is it would be nice to see Jaz have a hot night now and then as you won't get that from Krull or White.

Wish granted.  Thanks Jaz.  I have been wearing my Jaz sweatshirt with pride.

That one went over your head too.

IOA fans are saying that was sick, and that the refs biased towards Nebraska.

Re: The (non)blown 5-sec call on the Iowa In-bound at the end (where Stuelke made a lay-up). No ref's going to call that against a #2 Iowa to end the game.

(and gave Iowa two chances at treys to tie the game).

I was talking to a guy from the Des Moines area Saturday night (very nice, smart guy) whose wife is from Nebraska. He said the word is that Taylor McCabe is dissatisfied or frustrated with her (lack of) playing time with Iowa WBB. Think she could be lured to transfer to NU this offseason? Man, that would be satisfying to steal her back from Bluder after Bluder stole her from us.
And Taylor, not to be petty, but if playing time was such a high priority for you, then you should have come to Nebraska in the first place. You would have likely started all 4 years here. (Or at least 3 years)

  • Upset win over a #2 Rival
  • National TV Audience
  • Sell-out Crowd @ PBA  (the place was JAM PACKED)
  • Court Storming
  • Great Pep-Band Shots

This Should do Wonders for Recruiting.

(btw, Taylor McCabe has a younger sister who plays Basketball @  is committed to Drake)

Nebraska did have a couple of questionable calls go their way late.  Can't remember who got the ball for NU right on the baseline under the backboard (or whether it was a loose ball or rebound) and kind of fell out of bounds but got a foul called.  The Iowegia player was guarding her closely, but there didn't appear to be enough contact to push the NU player out.  And on the inbounds pass to Shelley near the sideline, Iowegia had a nice trap set up and got a phantom call when Marshall swiped at the ball but came nowhere near hitting Shelley.

That being said, I have absolutely no problem with the calls considering how many times NU basketball, both men's and women's, has been screwed by Three Stooge bias over the years, especially against highly regarded teams.

just watched a replay.......when iowa was filing out after the final buzzer, i noticed one of iowa assistants who was being accompanied by an officer turned her head and yelled at someone....you could tell by the look on her face it wasn't nice.🤭

Taylor's younger sister Payton McCabe is a senior this year at Omaha Skutt.  She will play for Drake next year.  She is a 5-6 guard.  I don't think Nebraska recruited her.

And the arguement can be made that CC got alot of questionable calls. Like the elbow to the throat of jazz and jazz is called for the foul. Or the flop she had on potts.

we need 5'10 to 6'0 foot guards.

For guard, I'd prefer great handles, great ball skills and wicked athleticism.  That being said, a team can only afford x-amount of under sized guards and we already have one incoming

Ok it went over my head. Explain it to me genius

I think RedSteve's post was a clever and stealth pat on the backs of the coaching staff - an acknowledgement of the success of a coaching decision.  The post invites the reader to consider the possibilities of who might have devised the plan and ordered it into action ... and then to conclude that only the coaching staff could have done so. That's the way I took  it. But I am no genius.

Coach Williams said that she made the call to run a diamond and one defense.
