HuskerBB Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 Those flight prices will be much higher by the time you know where you are going. The last time we went to the tournament I used SW points to book flights to several of the locations knowing I would be able to cancel and just get the points back. Takes a lot of saved points though. If you don't have the points you can also book the tickets on SW and get flight credit for the ones that you cancel. Worked great for me last time as San Antonio was one of the ones that I picked as a possible destination. This year I already planned a trip to Vegas for that first weekend and don't really want to cancel that - but might book a cheap flight from Vegas to Salt Lake City Thursday morning just in case :) Quote

Hey, don't be bagging on Memphis. Mrs. cip is a huge Elvis fan. We've been to Graceland once. Okay, it's in the slums now. Never been to Beale Street. We will in about a month. For whatever reason, I think Nebraska is destined for Memphis... Quote
AuroranHusker Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 You know, if Nebrasketball is in Omaha, I'm ready for it. LET'S GO, BIG RED !!!! Quote

That's a big concern I've had for its viability tbh, I thought Lincoln had put a lot of eggs into the RED WAY airlines 'basket' and it seems that it was a gamble that kind of screwed 'em. Quote

It’s not just that Redway flopped either. Its how quickly if flopped that will scare off future thoughts of flights into Lincoln. However, that drive from Omaha airport (30ish-45 minutes) is probably your a comparable commute from the airport to the hotel in some of the big cities that host. Quote

Omaha's airport is getting over $1B in upgrades in the next few years. It's incredible the investment they've done already, too. Ron Mexico and Cazzie22 2 Quote

There is no way to guess how it will actually go other than a Purdue being placed in Indy, that seems about as a sure of a bet as there is. The rest of the bracket is a total crapshoot for the rest of the Big Ten teams, anyway. Quote

So when everyone is saying they want to be a 7 or 10 seed so they can be in Omaha that’s not necessarily true? Omaha doesnt have to be 7-10? Quote
