Good recollection you have, cip. Always enjoy reading up on these things when you post 'em.

You'll love this story, then.  It had to be 1973, maybe 74.  I spent an afternoon or two each week at the Aurora swimming pool.  They played "Go All The Way" over the loud speaker at least 3 times a day.  The manager/head lifeguard had big boobs. I still remember her name.  Gotta remember, this comes from a 12-13 year old perspective.  🙂

I watched  Fox and Friends this morning and they were brought to tears of hearing of his death and learning he was a fan of the show.

Ol' MacDonald sure went all 'in' on that, I knew he was a baller, but I had forgotten how hard and fast he went. I enjoyed his fake "Tonight Show"-like show he made, must have been after SNL shit-canned him for this....

Dickey Betts wrote my favorite songs for the Allman Brothers Band.  A tremendous guitarist and an underrated vocalist, I will always enjoy “Blue Sky”, “Ramblin’ Man” and “Jessica.”  What a gift he left to us.

Unfortunately, two more today.  The first bums me out.  Richard Tandy, keyboardist for ELO passed today at age 76.  He and Jeff Lynne were close.  ELO was planning a reunion tour later this year.  Doubt it happens now. I would have travelled to see that one.  RIP, Richard.

Duane Eddy also went to Rock and Roll heaven today at age 86.  One of the greatest guitarists of all time.  Love this song!

I believe Jeff Lynne will still tour ELO as Richard Tandy had been in poor health for some time. RIP.  Tandy was a brilliant keyboardist. One could always recognize a Duane Eddy guitar tune. I like “Because They’re Young.”

The Allmans had FOUR guitarists on Rolling Stone's list of 100 top guitarists: Dickey, Duane Allman, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes.

RIP Dickey, at his best playing with Warren here:
