  1. Nice Monty Python Reference!!!
  2. Another good movie that is connected to the battle of Gallipoli is "The Water Diviner" starring Russell Crowe.
  3. Too many good ones to limit it to 13 but here are a few of my favorites... casablanca to have and have not the pianist sid & nancy the godfather imortal beloved wild at heart blade runner full metal jacket from here to eternity chinatown bend of the river angels with dirty faces
  4. I know Cam throws a lot of no-look passes and you have to be ready for the ball to come your way at all times when he has it. Having said that , Yvan is almost never ready for the ball when Cam passes to him under the basket. It takes him a second to recover from the lack of concentration when he is surprised that he suddenly has the ball in his hands. By the time he does recover, the defense is all over him and he misses what should be a bunny lay up. I know he is young and i think he will be a very good player in the future, but right now he needs to work on being ready for the ball. Just my
  5. Question for someone who knows more about this than I do... How much can Arop play and still redshirt this year? Is he already past the point where he could still redshirt? He looks very athletic and seems to be able to hit 3's at a high percentage in the pregame warm ups...
  6. I think his friends call him "Po Po"...
  7. Never trust someone with two first names....
  8. Personally I think Tim Miles deserves something better than the way this is being handled. He has been a class act for 7 years and the administration is leaving him hanging in the breeze. He has a family and a future to think about as well and they are not giving him the respect he deserves! If you are going to let him go then do it! Not cool!
  9. Its a good thing for the seniors and even the other players who want to play more games this season...
  10. Idiot On the Way to Arkansas
  11. Not trying to be offensive, I just think some people need to chill out. I know we all love husker hoops and everyone is entitled to an opinion. I just think we should keep it friendly. Go Big Red!!!
  12. Wow, Sometimes there is a lot of hate on this board... I don't think anyone on here knows as much as some of you think you do. Just my humble opinion...
  13. Miles should have let Palmer and Roby ride the bench a month ago. Maybe they would have received the message in time to make a difference. Now its too late...
  14. https://www.omaha.com/huskers/plus/shatel-huskers-lack-of-fight-may-be-surprising-but-major/article_e1555cfb-4ffe-50c9-9af2-2628a1b54fbb.html Something to read from Shatel, Stephen Bardo puts a lot of the blame for this season on the players lack of heart...
  15. I am still all in on Tim Miles. I hope we keep him around for a long time and I hope he has success here. I don't expect that we will become a basketball powerhouse over night no matter who the coach is. I remember back when lots of people were calling for Tom Osborne to be fired. He even went to Colorado to check on the head coaching position there because of that. I was here rooting for the huskers when Danny Nee was here. Danny had some really good teams. I was also rooting for the Huskers when Barry Collier was here and when Doc Sadler was our coach. They had limited success bu
  16. I feel bad for the players and I feel bad for Tim Miles and his staff. I know they all came here when they could have gone elsewhere and they came to here to win and do special things and sometimes things don't work out the way we hope. I still love this team and the coaching staff and I will always be a husker hoops fan! These kids came here and stuck it out and I hope the future is bright for the whole team. Not sure where we go from here but if any of the coaches or players read this, I for one want to say thanks for coming to Nebraska and giving us everything you had and more. Best of luck
  17. Wow, Pickles Records, I knew Nick. Cant remember his last name but he was a manager for pickles and i also knew just about everyone who worked at the Omaha stores back in the early to mid 80's. Joe Peterson, Allison Ravenholdt, Tony Marchant among others..... A band I was in back then played at the Pickles Christmas Party at the skiing place around linoma beach...
  18. Oh that's awesome. I met Paul once and shook his hand when I saw them at the Peony Park Ballroom not long after Bob Stinson was kicked out of the band around 1987. I also saw them at the Drumstick in Lincoln on the "Let It Be" tour around 1985. Great band, one of my all time favs!!
