I think this comment will get laughed at pretty hard but so be it.

Sam Hoiberg is arguably the most important player in this run of us playing well these last few games. Im not going to criticize anyone else - but when you replace a player in the rotation with someone who doesn’t need shots, reverses the ball without an ounce of hesitation, makes all the correct drives, flies around on defense, makes true hustle plays… it opens up everything else for the guys who have scoring skills like KT and DW.

This is a decent pick. And this was said before his two most important plays today. When he dribbled all the way around the Rutgers baseline and helped kill 28 seconds, and when he hit two free throws, the first might have been a 1 and 1. (Not positive the graphics were messed up)

But the real pick is Old Sam.

The way he dictates the pace, leads the team, and puts everyone in the place to succeed makes him the most important player on the team.

Importance rankings IMO:

Old Sam

DW

Keisei

Sam

I haven't mentioned it but have been thinking it.  Wilcher is a huge X factor if he can find the stroke he has at the end of the season a year ago.  His shot still doesn't look as fluid to me as then, so not expecting it to happen, but damn we are a much better team when we have another guy making shots.

Add Lawrence and Sam H and this is the type of offense I hoped to see from Fred all along.

Oh my, Sam Perkins! I’d post a montage of him, but I’m too old or too dumb. Youngins, help me with some Sam Perkins set-shot highlights please.

KT called the Japanese curry for his shooting deep but he is even more similar with his crafty finishing ability around the hoop.

And his incessant cutting and movement without the basketball. It's a thing of beauty.
