wow, i had a feeling the extra time would end the bruins. still boggled they burned so much of those last second dicking around bringing the ball up. I hate when teams lose the clock like that in crunch time. almost always comes back to bite them.

zags should have no more focus problems at this point.

I was wrong Baylor made The Zags their bitch...😁😁

My sister in law is a big Zags fan and now I get to read all her whiny crap about how it was a great year blah, blah ,blah

But behind my smile I will remember how The Zags got bent over and hammered!

It make you wonder how different this game would have been if it was Baylor that had to play UCLA in the semi's.

I'm with you, especially the anti-Huskers and Karen parts.....but I just had to clarify that winning every single stinking game but the national title game still counts as a great season.  😀

Yep.  It is.  Even playing in mid-major and beating NW State (twice in two days) and Dixie State and Northern Arizona and Pacific.

But, seriously, beating the likes of Kansas and Iowa and West Virginia and Virginia in the early season is nothing to sneeze at.

In my opinion, and most will probably disagree with me, it would not have made a bit of difference.

The Gonzaga/UCLA game was good because it was close and both teams made a lot of their shots.  The reason they both made a lot of shots is neither team played any defense (yes, there were some tough shots made when the defense was decent, but those baskets were not the norm).  If either team had played any consistent defense, they could have won the game by double figures.

Gonzaga's defense in the title game was non-existent.  Baylor pretty much did whatever they wanted when they wanted.  In addition, Baylor played outstanding defense that Gonzaga could not counter for any sustained period.  I think Baylor probably would have embarrassed UCLA as well.

Baylor is a deserving champion and might well have won last year.  The Big XII needed to win a championship although Tech came close 2 years ago.  Beard will have Texas as a title threat in 2-3 years.
