Indiana (7-5) (2-3) vs. Nebraska (4-7) (0-4) Game Thread

Clearly, this group does not know that little things done correctly add up to winning basketball.  Clearly, we know how to lose.

Not a good half.  Indiana was crazy accurate from 3.  I don't even think Archie thought they would shoot this crazy good from 3.  The law of averages have to bring it down.  Keep doubling Jackson-Davis and hope they cool off from 3, and for the love of God, box someone out!!!

 

On the offensive end, we have some good things using Walker, and Banton.  Just need to keep taking care of the ball, and make shots.  Keep attacking the rim and passing for wide open 3's.  Need to be cut the lead by 4 in each 4 minute segments.

Walker is impressing a ton. Once he gets up to game speed, he'll be a very solid contributor. Couple rolls to the rim that I really like and defense has been sound thus far

As stated before, why review what was clearly a late shot...Nebraska will not get the call...ever

We can't even win an obvious replay review.  The Big 10 has the worst officials.  So, the clock goes blank instead of to 0, yet the refs are MORONS and can't figure out the clock should go to 0?  Why not replay the out of bounds play with 1 second left?

Why in the world are they playing man the man defense on the inbounds with one second left? And watch Teddy guarding the inbound are standing flat-footed with his arms down. Pathetic.

One thing that never fails to amaze me, and never disappoints, is how fucking crooked the officiating is.

 

Take a look at the foul on Teddy right after the shot clock violation they missed.  Total garbage.

Defense is as much about heart as it is scheme.  For as much as our scheme may lack... we lack a lot more heart on that end.

Knowing some of the teams that Doc put on the floor and how they played D... I'm not so sure it's a scheme thing.  I'm thinking it could be more "want to"

If Indiana were smart they’d just run several minutes of game clock to shorten the game. Shot clock never went to 0.

For all the people with their heads down and uninterested in this season, let this be a reminder that in basketball one player can change your abilities on the court.

 

Going into next season, we've got a few of those "one" players coming into the program.
