Navin R. Johnson Posted October 11, 2017 Report Posted October 11, 2017 #Nebrasketball has offered 2018 6-10 center Florent Thamba (@Flo_T3) out of Grundy (Va.) Mountain Mission School. https://t.co/aE5wNQPJZ9 Tweet from Robin Washut Quote
FredsSlacks Posted October 11, 2017 Report Posted October 11, 2017 wonder if this means the coaches think roberts isn't coming here. can't imagine we'd take 3 big guys in this class. Quote
hhcmatt Posted October 11, 2017 Report Posted October 11, 2017 I think his name might be an anagram busticket and colhusker 2 Quote

Norm Peterson Posted October 11, 2017 Report Posted October 11, 2017 Holy Moses, how is it that this kid is still on the market? Grades? Just in the last few weeks, he's been offered by Va Tech, Memphis, PSU and us. Holy trajectory, Batman! Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted October 11, 2017 Report Posted October 11, 2017 Robin said it's not a coincidence he got the offer which means we heard Roberts' destination. mwm89 and hhcmatt 1 1 Quote
khoock Posted October 11, 2017 Report Posted October 11, 2017 Possibly two freshmen centers in one class. Im assuming one of them has to be ready to play while the other redshirts. Are either Thamba or Hieman capable of playing the 4? I guess i didnt think of Roberts with this offer. My initial thought was maybe Hieman flipping to Creighton since Creighton is now in the market for a big. TourneyBound 1 Quote
Swan88 Posted October 11, 2017 Report Posted October 11, 2017 Here is an article on Florent Thamba from back in January. The article starts out like this: When Florent Thamba says he’s only been playing basketball for 5 years, it’s unbelievable to see how good he has become in such a short time. The long & lanky 6’10 big man, who is featured on a young & talented team at Mountain Mission, is quickly developing into a significant two-way force. Quote

Thamba looks like more of a Jordy-type center. I want the big man. I'd take 'em both. dustystehl 1 Quote
Huskerpapa Posted October 12, 2017 Report Posted October 12, 2017 The kid has loads of talent and when he further builds his upper body and gains about two or three inches on his vertical game, he will go into beast mode. The video shows him playing against pretty talented teams and players, yet he appears to be the best player on the court. Besides, I love how his name flows off the tongue. Yes, I want the dude playing for the Huskers. Quote
bigFRED Posted October 25, 2017 Report Posted October 25, 2017 Any news on this front? I'd really like to snag this guy Quote

He had a lot of schools come in recently so he will have his pick and I'm sure with a strong season will garner even more interest. Quote
