This guy has been recruited by a ton of other schools up until this point. It'd be amazing to see him even mention us this late in the game.

Unless Allen saved his family from a burning building, he's not coming here.

Very interesting.  I think he may be looking to be a one-and-done guy.  He clearly wants to play now, but is willing to wait another year if he does not find the right school.  Some of the top schools may already be full or already have someone at his position.  I guarantee you he wants to play in the NCAA next year which could eliminate us.

If true, then my sales pitch would be to come to Nebraska and do what nobody has ever accomplished.  You will be adored and the NBA will come to understand how great you truly may be.

Not seeing it... Nana and Wilson play the same position.  That position is not our biggest need right now either

I dunno.  If he's 6' 7" then he'd be a perfect fit for the system we run.

They can both play the 2 or 3.   Not to mention the only guys at the wing are now upper classmen besides Nana.    You don't turn down Top 60 players with the offer sheet he has when you win 12-13 games a year

Don't think anyone said to turn him down.  Think they were pointing out we have bigger needs elsewhere.  I am pretty sure if the kid called Miles and said "Coach I really want to be a Husker", Miles would tell him to pack his bags and sign on the dotted line.

I don't buy that we have bigger needs either.   We need talent period.   We got our back up center in Duby.   We've addressed outside shooting with Nana and Allen and Allen can probably play backup point as well.

 

At this point...you find the best you can get.   And this guy is pretty darned good.   It'd be a hell of a catch if Miles can land him

Totally agree.  If there's any reality to this kid becoming a Husker, I'm 100% in favor.  Have you seen his vids?  He shoots really well and can jump out of the gym.

Norm, can you post some of the videos that show him shooting.  The only ones I found showed basically just dunks. Which were impressive.

I don't know if it's sheer fantasy that we would have some chance with this kid or if it's realistically plausible. 

 

But, if there's any basis in reality, I'd say get this kid.  Get him now.  Use whatever available room we have.  Get this kid.

true, but i can think of several cases where a kid chose a school because he wanted to play with a friend or former teammate.

Just curious.  Wilson seems comparable to Kelly Oubre.  Thoughts?
