Saved a thread from resurfacing.

Ugly game. I blame the early start. On to the next! 

Keisei with a real quiet 17.

Going 4 - 21 from 3 and winning by 19 is not going to happen often.

Lawrence had a good 1st half, and got us in the lead.  Struggled a little in the 2nd half.

Allick, Gary, and Sam were flying to the ball.  Great effort.

Have to bring it Wednesday in a very winnable game.

Good teams start making wins look routine and expected at the end of the year. We looked like that today. Nice job fellas

I recognized this during the game too. Haven't had one of those in awhile. Typically, we would find ourselves playing down to the level of competition and just couldn't keep a consistent gap against our opponents. Good change of pace for a bit on a Saturday.

Kent is a little off.  He said it had been 33 years since we started 18-8.  It was 2017-18.  We started 20-8.

PSU missing Clarey helps.  I think we still win, but maybe by single digits and not 19.

Kent's probably on geologic time....7 yrs, 33 yrs, not much difference...to a rock...

This is the kind of game other Husker teamswould have lost. Took care of business and won a game they were supposed to win. This is a fun team to watch.

I thought we played very well on Defense and got most of the 50/50 balls.  I liked guys getting on the floor after the ball and we rebounded.  We have got to find a way to take that effort and energy to Assembly Hall. 

With the way PSU uglied up the game and set basketball back several decades, and with the way the refs let it happen, we needed our lunch pail guys to step up and Allick, Gary, and Hoiberg were all great.

We were very clearly the fresher team as the game went on, and took full advantage after a frustrating first half.

We cleaned up the glass well after all those PSU bricks, outscoring them in both second chance points and points off turnovers, which are two huge areas for our team. When we have success in those areas at home, we usually win pretty easily.

Someone has to explain to me how PSU can play the game the way they play defensively, and, yet, we end up with 15 total fouls to their 13 (one of which was a technical) on our home floor. Glad the guys didn't let any of that garbage bother them. 

Time to go get a win in Bloomington

I don't like the 8:30 tip off.  It doesn't work in favor of the visiting team.  But who knows?  This team can overcome anything!

My PTSD kicked in when PSU hit a barrage of treys and cut our 2nd half lead to 12.

Then the guys settled down and extend it back out to 21.

Whew.

Sam and Josiah brought it on D especially in 2nd half. Josiah keeps getting better and better doing things that win games but don't show up on stat sheets. Is there an "I See You" award for guys who just work their tails off?

Brice scoring 2 points and winning by 19 feels less likely to happen than winning with that 3 point percentage. Nice to win when everything isn’t clicking. A big thing separating this season from past seasons.

This is arguably true and one reason for our success this year.

Very workman like and nice win.  As others said, it was a rock fight at times; but we won that fight.  We made good adjustments and ultimately took care of business as necessary.

I blame it on the fans who lulled to sleep by the major baby insurgency in the arena.  Cute yes...lot's of oohs and ahhs...but not conducive to a loud and boisterous crowd.

By the way, I also liked the refereeing today

I have a really good feeling everything will be clicking from the second half of this game through the rest of the season.  It is happening!

I actually think is was a game of beauty.  They came out flat, Penn State could have come out hot and been up by 10-15 points early. Our defense didn't let that happen.  We battled, and somehow were up by 6 at half.  Second half, after adjustments, came out and kicked ass.  Kind of reminds me of Tom Osborne in the mid 90's.

My concern was he has had ball handling issues in the past.  He seemed to have improved his handles; but then issues arose again two games ago.  The issue seems to coincide with hesitancy in pulling the trigger on his 3's.

To each there own. I agree about the defense. But I view defensive games generally as ugly. I don't believe we played bad today. But I get what you are saying. 

I was at a USAF technical school in GA in 2001. I was introducing Nebraska football to a buddy. Dive left, Dive right, Shortside option, Fullback trap, etc. He was like, "Is this all they do?!?" I was like, "Yeah. It's great isn't it!!" He did not agree
