Maybe it was, I was listening to tv so they probably led me astray

That call on Watson, although probably the right call at the end of the day, doesn't get called on our end, GUARANTEE IT. And then no over the back, Ridiculous. Great effort, proud to call these guys our team!

What was he doing that made it the right call?

Wish our will hadn't been broken for a short spell in the first half.  Other than that, what are you going to do.  We got beat by a Maryland team that cannot possibly play any better on offense.  And we were in the game with a minute left until that BS call on the rebound.  And I am not one that bitches about officiating very often.  We still were going to probably lose the game, so not worth over blowing that call.  It is a credit to the team to keep playing.  And it shows that 3 in 3 days is not that big a deal and is overplayed by the media.

On the original play, not the replay, Watson did grab Dodd while boxing out, so by the book, it was probably the right call. But like travelling, carrying, and illegal screens, it rarely gets called. That is, of course, unless we are the team on the court. I thought it was a horseshit call, don't get me wrong. I guarantee Maryland would've got away with it for sure.

Not gonna comment on the foul on Watson at the end. But man I love the fight in this team. Just when you thought they have given up or have nothing left they come storming right back. I hope this isn't the last game for them.

One important no call.  When Carter absolutely ran over Shields, and got no foul call.  Shields wasn't able to play down the stretch because he got hurt.

I actually think Shields got hurt going for a rebound on our offensive end right before that happened.  Looked like a charge at any rate; or at least some call on collision like that?

My rant being over with the refs.  Thank you Nebraska for a great season, and here's to hoping you guys play in a tournament.  I would love to watch or listen to more games.  Players improved throughout the season.  Webster, White, Watson, Morrow, Jacobson, McVeigh, even Hammond showed improvement through the year.  Let's go find that BIG MAN!!!

Anybody else notice that Maryland was allowed to run about 14 seconds off the clock after White's 3 to cut it to 6? Layman (I think it was Layman) was allowed to stand there with the ball at his feet and purposely not pick it up and the refs never started a 5 count. About 14 seconds ran off from the time the ball came through the basket and the time the ball was inbounded.

I don't know the rule for certain but why can't the refs start a 5 count if the ball is available and they are ready to throw it in just not picking the ball up yet (on purpose)? I mean, if the ball isn't available and has bounced away or into the cheerleaders or something they will frequently blow the whistle to stop the clock and reset it.

Coach Mo's post-game theme is "Tim is a real fighter".  Said that twice now.  Just a little odd that his comments are centered around the head coach versus the players on the floor.

I thought the same thing as well.

Maryland only had nine points off the bench.

Assuming Stone and Trimble go pro, will they be worth a shit next year?

Hope not.  If there is any team that i hate in Big Ten basketball, it is Maryland.  All stemming from Melo Trimble who gets the Aaron Craft treatment from refs across the country.

Great fight to take it til the end.  After watching that, I could use a little more Nebraskatball this season.  Who cares if it's in the CIT, or the like?  We're playing pretty well right now.

Yeah.  I noticed that too.  Pissed me off that it was happening to us, but in my mind I privately thought it was pretty brilliant; if you can get away with it.

One rule, I think might have been changed, I'm not sure, but if you are inbounding the ball and you let it roll, you only have 5 seconds to touch the ball.

5 seconds to touch it and then your 5 count starts or you just get a 5 count to throw it in?

I'm not sure, but my dad said that he did see it called one time.  I think it goes from when you get the ball to when it is touched.
