I assume you meant to also include the fact that he is on campus visiting as we speak?

Interesting. Will be very interesting to see what shakes loose with guys like this in wake of what seems to be a possibility with the Florida guys. Obviously, if we quickly grab a guy like this and fill up our only remaining spot (currently) then it becomes less likely that the Florida big has any interest.

Reading this thread, I found it interesting that 5 different people all commented at 12:39 p.m.

Max B. would be a decent grad transfer option for Nebrasketball. He'd play his tail off, that's for sure. [This season MB owned WP in Ann Arbor.]

It would be awkward when we play Michigan AND his family name is stamped on Illinois...that said, this would be a very good one year patch.  I would take him in a heartbeat.

The article I read indicated that Illinois really did not have interest or room for him.

His bio from Michigan (linked in the OP) says he's 6'8" and 245#.  Same exact dimensions as the Dickerson kid from Florida.  Hmmmm.  Given the choice between the two (and no one ever said I got to choose) I would choose Dickerson.

Can't argue Norm but if Dickerson is not even thinking NU at this time and Bielfeldt say yes if offered what do you do?

I'm just guessing the coaching staff will know if Dickerson has any interest at all fairly soon.  If so, they will hold off in taking Bielfeldt until the interest from Dickerson runs it course.  If no interest from Dickerson, they I could see them taking Bielfeldt if he decides to come here.

I'm not a master at recruiting.  If I was, maybe I could get away with a strategy of telling Biefeldt "Dude, we like you soooo much, you're our number 1B target right now.  But a weird thing happened when we hired a new assistant.  It opened up the possibility to get a 4-year player at the same spot.  We should know very soon if that's going anywhere or not.  If it doesn't, you're our man.  Can you give us a week to work on it before you commit elsewhere?"
